   My wife and I came here to have a nice Christmas dinner and we weren’t disappointed. My steak and fried shrimp were delicious and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her fish tacos. Our server, Essie, was attentive and friendly and we made sure to tell the manager that we enjoyed her and our meals.

   We have always love eating here but we think they have cut a lot of corners lately to reduce costs. Th server was absent minded and didn’t know the menu at all. The manager worked the host stand so we never saw him except when we arrived and left. Neither time did he speak or acknowledge us. We ordered two appetizers the fried cheese and the spicy cauliflower which isn’t spicy but it is good usually. We got meatloaf which we requested one side be substituted for Mac n cheese and she charged us $5 for a side of mac n cheese that was ice cold. We had a grilled chicken salad which all the ingredients were of poor cheap quality. The grilled chicken was okay. The pineapple martini was horribly made. It’s Christmas is the only reason this isn’t one star. There are way too many other restaurants in HTC to pay this much for poor service and food.

   We had great hopes but we were not happy with the experience. Food was mediocre, service seemed pushy and one meal was never put in and they had to wait ten minutes after the rest of us ate. They billed us for that meal which very much should have been comped without question. We assumed a good manager would make that happen but it was on our bill. We paid and left. We will not be back. So sad as the restaurant is such a beautiful venue.

   We ordered a well done burger. It was still pink on the inside. We sent it back with another server because our server walked past us multiple times. When we received the burger back 20 minutes later, it seemed like the kitchen just burned the burger. The food was bland. The macaroni and cheese was disgustingly garlicky. The only okay thing I ate was the cheesecake. The manager gave us $15 off and two coupon for our “next visit”. It’s safe to say we will never come back. We spent $50 and I still went home unsatisfied and starving.

   I think the salad I ordered (Asian chop chop) is a smaller portion than usual - but still excellent flavor. Excellent service - stayed on top of water refills and clearing the table, too.

   We had our Christmas dinner party at Holihans. There were 11 of us in their special room. It was a great space. The service was good and everyone enjoyed their food.

   I met my nieces to "catch up" as I passed thru Indy. We did not feel rushed. Our waiter was awesome - sorry I don't remember his name. We will definitely return

    Every person in party of 8 had something different to eat and enjoyed their meals. Service was fast and friendly.
