The Hudson Hound Jersey City. A modern American restaurant and bar with an Irish personality.
Our goal as a Modern American and Irish restaurant and bar is to serve you high quality, in season, fresh ingredients using as many local producers as possible.
Bringing contemporary touches to traditional dishes and creating new, innovative dishes from the world around us today.
Outdoor seating is available on a first come, first served basis (cannot reserve).
The snug is a must see cozy private space for up to 10 guests with direct access to the bar, seating is banquette and bar stool seating and has a private TV for all sporting events.

We were excited to try the Full Irish Breakfast! While the boxty, tomato half, and rashers were delicious, the canned beans and jarred mushrooms left a little to be desired. The black and white puddings were pretty good. The veggie burger in the Vegetarian Full Irish was dry and crumbly. The eggs over easy were bland and goopy. The soda bread could have used some Irish butter and jam. Our server made an awesome latte even though he said it wasn't his strong skill. Unfortunately, due to the underwhelming plate, loud rap music, and awful parking situation, we won't be back.

Great fun spot with a cool laidback neighborhood vibe. Service was excellent, bar options were great and food was solid. Great spot to hangout with friends.

Service and food were perfect. We had the best time. We had a very large group and they were on top of everything.

Great vibe and service… Not too chaotic. Very mellow and chill evening with good friends. I highly recommend the Hound Burger 🍔… Very tasty as well as the dry-rubbed wings…. Drinks 🍹 were great too….

Service was very good. Surprisingly not crowded on a Saturday night. Bartender made an excellent Old Fashioned. Guinness pour, however, a bit sloppy but still good. Just expected better from an establishment that claimed to "Serve the best Guinness on the East Coast." Also, their acclaimed house made Irish Soda Bread is not at all what you would expect as it was a wheat based, dark bread, something they should reconsider. Overall a good experience.

Brunch eggs benedict has a nice different twist with the special potato. Recommend trying it!

We heard about the Irish breakfast at Hudson Hound from our daughter and just had to try it. Well you had better bring your appetite. The dish was full of delicious eggs, puddings, boxty, bacon, sausages, and tomatoes. And a pot of tea, outstanding. The staff were super friendly and efficient. The manager spent time talking at our table. Although a very pleasant experience.
