Come in and let the flavor do the talking. Our culinary team takes NW farm to table ingredients to craft a rustic American dining experience. Hudson's décor is nearly as spectacular as the food crafted in our open kitchen concept. Hudson's Bar & Grill is located inside the Heathman Lodge Hotel Vancouver WA.

Executive Chef Joe Reid joins Hudson’s with more than 20 years of culinary experience under his belt. Joe grew up in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from the Western Culinary Institute, Joe started at a 4 diamond steakhouse in Lake Tahoe. He then moved back to the NW and began his culinary career as a Banquet Chef at the Multnomah Athletic Club. Since then, he has worked in various positions at multiple restaurants including Morton’s The Steakhouse, Salishan Lodge and Brand Chef at Stanford’s. He has a passion for mentoring his team and helping them reach their full potential.

We have been there before for Thanksgiving and it was good, but now they have too many people. The food was not fresh. The utensils had food caked in them. They had table stuffed in every corner of the hallways. All I saw was greed. I will never be going back there for a holiday dinner again.

We were lucky to be seated in the Wetlands area (party of 3) which was much quieter than the other dining rooms. The food was very good and varied for mass catering, though some of the carvery items suffered from being under a heat lamp for hours. While the salads were a little disappointing, the cedar planked salmon and the pork loin were very good, as were the candied sweet potatoes. It was refreshing to have the green beans prepared with cherry tomatoes and button mushrooms. For dessert, the apple crisp and berry cheesecake were voted winners. The chocolate torte was also good, but too rich to follow such a big meal.

This was Thanksgiving dinner, 2024. Service was outstanding, and our server was phenomenal. Dressing and fresh cranberry sauce were exceptionally good. Chocolate torte was truly amazing. All meats and salmon were dry. Shrimp were previously frozen, cooked but unpeeled, very dry and tasteless. Salad dressing had no flavor. Someone on staff came into our dining nook (Wetlands Overview) to talk to another guest. This man was so loud that other patrons could not hear each other at our tables. He told this other guest that he was the one who had cooked all the prime rib. We have eaten here on numerous Thanksgiving and Christmas Days and previously always had an excellent dinner. Today's experience was mixed. We may return at Christmas, and hope that goes better.

Hubby and I ate during thanksgiving for lunch. The food was delicious. Everything that was on the list was delicious. Ham to sweet potatoes, Mac n cheese, salad, green beans, deserts was my favorites. Our waitress was excellent she was very friendly also was the check in lady. She was very good. Will have to come again next year.

Had a great server that was attentive to needs. Food was excellent though I thought my avocado toast could have been grilled a bit more. Great experience as always.

Service and food was excellent throughout our stay. There was no reason to go elsewhere and it was easy and relaxing. Thank you Cale and Jacob for great service!

We recently dined at Hudson's Bar & Grill for a special occasion, and while the overall experience was enjoyable, a few details left room for improvement. First, the positives: the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with care. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting. However, there were a couple of missteps that impacted the evening. Despite having made a reservation for our special occasion, we were seated in the bar area, even though there was seating available in the main dining room. This was disappointing, as we were looking forward to the more formal dining experience. Additionally, we were surprised to see a credit card surcharge added to our bill without prior notification. Transparency about such fees would have been appreciated. A word of caution for anyone coming to dine: please look carefully at your bill before adding tip. We never pay these fees because restaurants (and other businesses) can deduct credit card processing fees as a business expense when filing taxes. These fees are considered part of the costs of doing business and should never be passed onto patrons. Overall, the quality of the food and service made for an enjoyable evening, but these details kept the experience from being exceptional. We hope these issues can be addressed, as Hudson's Bar & Grill has the potential to truly shine.

As always, Hudson’s outdid themselves. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the gorgonzola cheesecake appetizer and steak for dinner. For dessert we had the Grand Marnier crème brûlée which was everything I hoped it would be. The experience was definitely worth the money and I will be back. I’m so glad we have a restaurant like this in town.
