The famous Puerto Rican cuisine restaurant reopened fully renovated. Iguanas Cocina Puertorriqueña, now features an open-view demonstration kitchen and seating for up to 104 guests. Overlooking the El Yunque National Forest and the River Course, is a family-friendly venue, known for its authentic Puerto Rican cuisine favorites and spectacular scenery. Located on the Rio Mar Clubhouse’s second floor. This new restaurant offers handcrafted cocktails, artisanal beers and light bites at Iguanas Bar. The mind behind this well known restaurant, Chef Jorge Cátala with over 15 years of experience makes sure to bring the highest quality products, including fresh lobsters & fish from local fisherman’s. Also, his love to the local agriculture brings to the table the freshest and finest dishes including organic chicken, cage free eggs, hydroponic greens, among others. Live the food here.. the chicken beans and plantains has a bit too much rice but I appreciate you all being willing to substitute pork pink beans with black beans….

Nice scenic views and contemporary interior style. Stuffs pork loin was very good and unique. Very good service.

After reading all of these rave reviews, I’m thinking we must’ve had an unusual experience. The food was not very flavorful (we got mofongo and arroz con pollo) and service was very slow. We were there after dark so we didn’t get to enjoy the view. The interior design of the restaurant is very nice. In my opinion, if you are looking for local Puerto Rican dishes and don’t mind skipping the ambiance, there are better options just outside the resort.

Upscale modernist Puerto Rican restaurant at the Wyndham , food was excellent as was the service. The space is somewhat noisy

Excellent all around. Easily best restaurant at the resort. Food was authentic and great, service amazing as well beyond the rest of the resort. Maria was great with our kids, prompt, helpful, curious and pleasant. Great suggestions. Kitchen service very quick. Inside very quiet and AC chilly, outside perfect for us with kids and large fan to keep cool.
