   Our waiter could have cared less about timing and delivering requested service. We asked for our cocktails first before receiving food. He ignored our request and drinks arrived 10 minutes after the apps. He failed to proactively communicate specials and we had to ask him for the information. He failed to inform me my pasta dish was on the small size - shrimp in a lemon scampi sauce - only 3 shrimp. He didn't talk about sides. He didn't ask if we wanted wine. He delivered the check before the 2nd bite of desert was in our mouths. He pushed us out at about the 50 minute mark. The food was good - but service sucked. This sin't a fast casual place - yet we felt like we were on a treadmill. We won't be back.

   We always love our food and wait staff at il bracco but regardless or reservation we always seem to wait.

   We had a reservation at 6:45 and were finally seated at 7:30 after having to wait outside in the cold. It was too crowded to wait inside. They offered us drinks because we waited so long and then tried to charge for them. We always get the meatballs starters which are supposed to come with focaccia bread but instead came with a garlic toast. Not as good. I feel like they try to cram in too many people and then turn the table too fast. This was one of my favorite restaurants but not sure I’ll go back. It was not a good dining experience.

   The food is fabulous. The server did a great job and we did not feel rushed. If you have never been you need to try the food there. It is so good!!

   They were behind and we waited about 35 mins for a table. When we were seated, they brought over an appetizer of meatballs that we hadn’t ordered and thanked us for being patient. When we got the check, we noticed they charged us for the meatballs. My issue with this is first that we didn’t order them and two members of our party couldn’t even eat them (vegetarian and gluten free). Second, they have apparently done this before. My friends had waited 45 mins for a table before and they offered them drinks while they waited then charged them for it. I’d watch out for this if visiting. Seems like a scam and I’m sure lots don’t check their bills and just pay not realizing it.

   We love some of the appetizers like the Steak Tartare and the Sicilian Crudo. The standout entre this time was the One Sheet Lasagna Special which was delicious and something we had not tried before.

    il Bracco is my favorite restaurant in Dallas, but they completely exceeded my expectations this time - if that was even possible. I brought my sister and her boyfriend who are visiting from atlanta, and got engaged 24 hours prior, and the waitress brought them champagne to celebrate their engagement and olive oil ice cream for her birthday next week. The food was amazing as always, but the waitress went above and beyond to make them feel so so special, and they left raving about their entire experience. I already loved il Bracco, but the way they treated my sister and her boyfriend last night made me love them even more!!
