Located in the historic Fulton Market district of Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, il Carciofo is a Roman Italian restaurant drawing inspiration from the restaurants and markets in one of Chef Joe's favorite cities, Rome. Super fun atmosphere. Service was super good. Food was delicious. Had the best affogato here with their gelato. We sat by at the high top by the cooks. Super entertaining to watch. 10/10 recommend

Thanks for a fantastic dinner. The food is delicious, the drinks are fantastic, and the staff is just wonderful. Il Carciofo started out as one of the best restaurants in the city, and it just keeps getting better. Thanks to the entire team for another great experience! We’ll be back soon.

Our food was phenomenal and I will definitely return, however our service was far below expectations. Our order was taken all at once, which I completely understand, but we expected it to be paced correctly. We had barely just been served our very first cocktail and all of the appetizers showed up at once. Pastas followed next without even once second between the finishing of our appetizers and we were done in under one hour. We never ordered another round of drinks or even wine because everything came out so fast. I would have loved a lingering dinner, but unfortunately we got the opposite.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had the artichoke, ravioli and halibut. All three items were just outstanding. The service was great too. Can’t wait to go back.

The food here is amazing and the service exceptional! We were running late from a fundraiser and the team there was so responsive and accommodating to ensure we made our dinner! I thought that was so thoughtful. This was my second time there this week after experiencing their food as part of the Lip Smack food tour (look them up). The pasta is so fresh and perfectly cooked and the artichoke is a must! I’ll be back!

the priority of the waitstaff is to rush you out. The bill came with dessert. Ruined the good food

Delicious ! Pastas are very rich so good to share. The prosciutto was amazing, the artichokes were good and interesting. The Rosso pizza was very good too!

We had the best time- from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I loved the Basil daisy cocktail. We highly recommend the prosciutto to start. Our favorite pasta was the carbonara with the tagliatelle is a close second! Our favorite dessert was the zabaione e berries. The cappuccino was delicious.

Absolutely outstanding and authentic Roman cuisine. I lived in Rome some years ago and believe me this brought back all the authentic flavors of my time there.
