Chef Mario Cassinelli proudly opens the doors of Il Carino, an Italian fine dining establishment conveniently located at 1710 2nd Ave in the Upper East side, Manhattan. Il Carino provides an Italian fine dining experience in an elegant and sophisticated ambiance. Making it perfect for every occasion a celebration of food and drink. Chef Cassinelli and Giulio envisioned recreating traditional Italian dishes from all of Italy’s provinces and exclusively featuring his own dishes as house specialties. Our belief in old traditional methods of creating our own fresh pastas, bread, homemade sauces and desserts emulate Italy’s gastronomy culture. All dishes are freshly cooked to order, using only the finest ingredients, carefully sourced by Chef Mario Cassinelli himself to ensure freshness and optimum quality.

IL Carino is my favorite local place to dine in. I always come here for dinner dates with my partner and we're never disappointed. I love the food, decor, and staff treatment. We can't wait to try more of their cuisines and drinks.

Price way exceeded what was on line. So not worth it for a small neighborhood restaurant. Should have known there was a price issue by the fact that we were the only ones in the restaurant all night.

We had the most wonderful date here. The service was incredible and so attentive. The food has off the charts. We cannot wait to go back

My husband and I are in NYC for our daughter’s wedding. We had a lovely meal and exquisite wine. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

Me and my partner love IL Carino! We enjoyed every bite and balanced our meal with the finest wine. We additionally had dessert. As always, the service was amazing and attentive, and the place was neat and elegant. We'll be back!

I actually wasn't able to eat the food so can't say if was good or not,. We showed up and they have us a menu with prices that were more then double what was online! A single glass of wine was $21! Complete bait and switch!!! When I asked them about the difference, they said 'in person dervice was more as were paying for"tablecloths,etc!"". Outrageous. We got up and left. It's no wonder the place was empty!!! Super sketchy behavior! Avoid!!!

Good neighborhood restaurant - good food and service, very quiet (but it was Sunday). Only thing to watch out for is the bottled water - I ordered bottled water and in all other restaurants I have been to, they ask if you want another bottle, but here they just kept bringing new bottles and pouring them without asking. It happened so fast, I couldn’t stop it. Finally said no more water!
