   Service was great, food good. Only complaint is the noise level in the restaurant. Hard to have a conversation with the people at your table.

   We went to Il Fornaio to celebrate my mother’s 99 year old birthday. The light above the table didn’t shine. The manager was very nice and moved us to another table. He then looked for the waiter to serve us. The waiter was really nice and polite, trying to please us. Food was fantastic and portions were good! We have a wonderful time and they gave my mom a complimentary dessert with a candle and wished her a happy birthday with the song. My mom was very happy and left with a fond memory. We’ll definitely go back for dinners and celebrations to come.

   We really love dining at I’ll Fornaio. Their Pastas, soups, main dishes and salads are always fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious. All delivered with impeccable service.

   We have spent many evenings at this restaurant since it's opening and the food is good and pasta dishes are reasonably priced. However, at this visit, all of the pasta dishes were barely warm. The waiter was very personable.

   Saturday night after Valentine's Day and the restaurant was busy! As always, Alex made excellent cocktails! The meal was delicious! Our go to restaurant in Burlingame. Love their Happy Hour!

   I love this place And I come here often. I feel that THEY WERE SLAMMED SO it affected these things. Food came out cold. The waitress took forever to order Being drinks , dessert menus and check. I feel like had they not been so busy this wouldn’t have been the case. They told us to be out by 90 minutes. We tried to follow the time frame for the table use but when you don’t get to order on time or get the food fast how could we not have ran over.

    It could have been that it was Valentine’s night but things did not go well from the time we checked it for our 5:30 reservation. Hostess could not locate my reservation even though I showed her my confirmation on my phone and I had received a phone call a week prior directly from the restaurant confirming my date and time. They did sit us at a small table but I guessed that these several tables were added on just for the evening. Twice dishes were brought to our table that was not meant for us. Similar situation happened to the table next to us. It was apparent that servers were not made aware of the added tables and brought dishes to tables that was numbered and memorized prior to the evening event. Salad and soup was tasty and well presented but both our main dishes (mushroom tagliatelle and lasagna) were severely lacking in presentation and taste. The tagliatelle dish looked bland with just the pasta on the bottom and a bunch of mushrooms in sauce ladled on top. You could smell the truffles but no other taste in my mouth - no herb, no garlic , no salt. I My husband’s lasagna was mushy and overcooked, tasted very starchy and pasty. We ended u packing it home to repurpose with more flavor. Not sure if I can repair the lasagna since the nodules were already so mushy. The server who took our order was attentive and st least got our wines to us correctly. Person bringing the dishes was totally confused by the table numbers! At the end of the night when we’re done and ready to go, person brought plates and bread to our table! It was totally meant for the table next to us!!
