    We had a very pleasant experience at Il Fornaio during Valentine’s Day. The staff was very respectful and kind towards us. We made a reservation two weeks in advance for 5:30 and was seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was very enthusiastic in greeting us and checking up on us. The food was amazing! They had a special menu for Valentine’s Day and we had a ravioli with lobster bisque that my partner and I both absolutely loved. The steak was also cooked perfectly medium rare and tasted delicious. We also got their Valentine’s Day dessert that was prepared beautifully with a chocolate cake that melted in your mouth. Loved the whole experience and can’t wait to go back to try the other pastas on their menu!

    Exactly what we wanted. A table off To the side to enjoy a romantic dinner that we so rarely have the time for. The service was perfect and the food was delicious.

    Always a delight to eat at IL Fornio. One of our favorite spots when visiting the bay area.

    Beginning with the Irvine location, I have been going to this restaurant since the 90's. The Palo Alto location exceeded my expectations. The concept, food and service have been remarkably consistent over all these years. Well done! We look forward to our next visit.

    We hadn’t been to any Il Fornaios in more than 10 years, only because there are so many restaurants to try. Tonight’s experience reminded us what we liked about Il Fornaio - delicious food, generous portions, friendly and efficient service, and comparatively good value. They have managed to maintain their level of quality all these years. We’ll be sure to put them back in the rotation.

    It was our first time at this location of Il Fornaio, and it was very good. The restaurant is attractive, and it wasn't too crowded at 6:00pm. There are quite a few choices of starters, salads, pasta, pizza, and meat and seafood, so there's something for everyone. Our waiter was pleasant, and our meals (gnocchi, salmon, and tagliatelle) were very good. The cocktails and wine choices were good, too. I wouldn't call it extraordinary, but it is a very good, reliable restaurant when you want a pleasant evening out, and don't mind spending some money. .
