    Delicious dinner and wonderful service. What more can I say? The room is beautiful in one of the most beautiful buildings in San Jose. I have been going here for many years and it is still my favorite restaurant.

    My sister and I had dinner here before going to the symphony around the corner at California Theater. The location was great as we could just walk from the restaurant to the symphony. It was a busy night with 3 holiday parties. Service felt rushed but polite. Food was good. Especially, carpaccio appetizer and lamb.

    Typical Italian dishes served with a new strong chili powder spicy flavor. Not good. Pasta wasn't cooked properly - al dente is good - crunchy and cold is not.

    Food and service is consistent, always good. We appreciated their making sure we finished in plenty of time to get to our concert at the San Jose Civic Auditorium, without feeling rushed. We go to Il Fornaio every time we attend a concert in San Jose.

    Nice atmosphere, comfy seats, polite and friendly servers. Food good. Dessert good. Easily accessible to the San Jose Civic Auditorium and parking garage.

    Our waitress was amazing, it was Thanksgiving and the staff were very overwhelmed. Even though it took longer than normal to get our drinks and food, our waitress was very apologetic and was working extremely hard to do her job. The food was just ok. For a semi upscale restaurant and inside of a historic hotel, the food was just ok. I would have expected more.
