    Celebrated my mom’s birthday and as always food and service were amazing. Hostess is so kind and friendly and our server Cecilia was on point. The manager Mohammed even stopped by our table to check on us. My mom enjoyed them singing Happy Birthday to her. Thank you

    Horrible experience from start to finish. We had a reservation with a request for a table in a specific area - they had clearly overbooked and tried to put us at a table in the middle of a walkway. We said, no thank you. So, they sat us at a tiny 2-top. Our server bright me a glass of champagne (sparkling wine) that was flat, old and tasteless. Then we ordered our food, which all arrived at once: soup, salad, pizza, veggie all at once. On the plus side the the pizza was good, but the rest of the meal was terrible. Lastly, we had two gift certificates and the server screwed up application to bill twice. With all this we never saw a manager. We won’t be back. The food is uninspired, they overbook and the tables are too close together.

    I would not go here if you have celiac or are gluten free. The waiter was not knowledgeable in what on the menu was gluten free and had to keep going to ask the kitchen. I tried to order the risotto and it wasn’t gluten free. Then tried to order the chicken Marsala and the waiter came back and said that the sauce wasn’t gluten free but that they could do a mushroom cream sauce. They offered to do that, I didn’t ask for a special modification. They topped the chicken with cooked mushrooms and then poured a sauce made of only cream and Parmesan around the chicken, which had no flavor and added nothing to the dish. Then also only have gelato or sorbet as an option for dessert. Very disappointing meal when it was supposed to be a special occasion.

    A former colleague and I dine monthly either in Pleasanton (Strizzi’s) or Walnut Creek (Il Fornaio). Both are great eateries albeit quite different in size and other respects. Today was Walnut Creek. Nice meal, good wines, great appetizers, particularly the calamari. And nice entrees. Topped off with a double espresso to facilitate alert travel home. All in All, another great meal.
