A regular choice as Melburnians to take interstate visitors to experience one of our favourite restaurants. Despite highlighting on the initial booking we were celebrating a birthday milestone, there was absolutely no acknowledgement by the Maître D or table staff that we had a birthday being celebrated at our table. We were hoping for at least a minimal effort to wish her a happy birthday. Next time we will supply our own hats, streamers and whistles!!

I loved it when it opened in the mid 1990's and I still love it now nearly 30 years later. Little seems to have changed at Il Solito Posto, which is a blessing - great food, great wine, top service and a great vibe. And the signature pasta dish"farfalle al salmone" is still on the menu. Magnificent!

The staff were outstanding, particularly Julian and Maria. Ambience excellent. Food was delicious!

Excellent food, service is exceptional! The only thing was my seats against the table was wobbly and i almost fell out it a few time during the meal lol!
