“Good Food and Bad Advice.” Such is the motto for this one-of-a-kind restaurant that’s in the planning stages as we go to press. Located beside Hot Fish Club on the southern end of Murrells Inlet, it’s owned and operated by the HFC family – but it’s a totally different experience. The menu is quirky, to say the least, with a focus on affordability – most items run between $4 and $12 – and fresh, locally sourced meats, seafood and produce whenever possible. The team is still working out the particulars, but the choices are definitely different and change frequently to keep things interesting.

Take time to explore and expect the unexpected from a restaurant where one of the items offered is described as “kinda weird, but tasty.” Lowcountry looks forward to this new venture from our friends at the Hot Fish Club. With a broad menu, pub-inspired atmosphere and an awesome atmosphere, the IPC is shaping up to be a mighty fun place to hang.

There were two couples in our party. We ordered the skillet cornbread as an appetizer which was excellent and gave us high hopes for dinner. Three of us ordered the meatloaf and one ordered the “Almost Famous Veggie Smashburger”. All three of us had to send our meatloaf back to be heated up since it was barely lukewarm. Once the meatloaf was reheated, it was very good. When the burger was delivered, I realized after taking a few bites that this was not the veggie burger but actually a beef burger. Since I am a vegetarian, I told the waitress about the error and she apologized and said that was her mistake. However, she never put another order in to correct the mistake. All things considered it was not the experience we expected.

Wow. This place was a dump! You walked in and could smell the bathroom. We sat near the marsh, which was the only good thing about our entire night. The women’s bathroom was flooded with water with no soap (and the entire two hours we were there no one seemed to bother cleaning it). Although our waiter was very friendly he was all over the place and we ran out of drinks often. And the lobster roll looked like mayonnaise with little bits of lobster. My mahi was over cooked and very chewy. We will never be back.

Great experience! The food was good and live music was great. This place is a gem on the inlet and a place we’d definitely come back to again.

Nice view of marsh. Service was steady and we were not rushed. Adults had scallops, tuna, & a pork chop which were very good. Kids had Mac & cheese, but didn’t like…believe Gouda cheese and not cheddar.

We were unsure of what we'd find at Inlet Prohibition Company, but we were delighted by the excellent food and service. I chose the Chicken & Waffles (omitting the pork belly blackeyes) and it was a delightful treat; I wanted to try something new, and it certainly met my expectations. My wife enjoyed the Pan Seared Salmon, which was just as impressive.

Food was great so was the atmosphere! Restaurant was clean and scenery was beautiful! Service was a little lacking. But overall we would return.

Best food I’ve ever had in Myrtle Beach. It felt like we were eating good southern food from Charleston.

Early dinner at 4. Appetizers included Burrata salad that was excellent, pretzel board with nice selection of meats and cheeses and grouper chunks which were not chunks but skinny pieces and were ok. Three of us had the blackened mahi which was very good but needed a bit more sauce. Chicken pot pie was very good according to my friend. Sangria was refreshing! Only complaint was our appetizer dishes were never removed from our table when they brought our dinner. Definitely recommend Inlet.
