“Good Food and Bad Advice.” Such is the motto for this one-of-a-kind restaurant that’s in the planning stages as we go to press. Located beside Hot Fish Club on the southern end of Murrells Inlet, it’s owned and operated by the HFC family – but it’s a totally different experience. The menu is quirky, to say the least, with a focus on affordability – most items run between $4 and $12 – and fresh, locally sourced meats, seafood and produce whenever possible. The team is still working out the particulars, but the choices are definitely different and change frequently to keep things interesting.

Take time to explore and expect the unexpected from a restaurant where one of the items offered is described as “kinda weird, but tasty.” Lowcountry looks forward to this new venture from our friends at the Hot Fish Club. With a broad menu, pub-inspired atmosphere and an awesome atmosphere, the IPC is shaping up to be a mighty fun place to hang.

Been here many times and always been good. Reserved for 8 for Valentines day to bring some friends who had not been here. Food was good and everyone enjoyed their meal. The issue was that right from the get go we looked at beer menu and there were some crossed off. We tried ordering some others and twice waiter came back and said they didn’t have those either and crossed them off menu. After dinner we discussed dessert plans and decided to stay there. Waiter came out and told us they only had one type of dessert left. This was Valentines day and we felt that they should have been better prepared. Needless to say we left to find dessert somewhere else and it didn’t really leave a good impression in our friends minds for a Valentine’s day outing

The menu choices were good and so was the food. The restaurant had no ambiance. Just a bar with high top tables.

Very disappointed! We have ate there numerous times. Out of 2 different items we tried to order. Our reservations were at 5:30. Crab cakes were unbeatable. Tasted horrible! Shrimp overcooked as was the smash burger. It will be awhile before we r back

Food was sub par and slow coming out of the kitchen. Disappointing overall. Would not recommend with better places nearby.

There were two couples in our party. We ordered the skillet cornbread as an appetizer which was excellent and gave us high hopes for dinner. Three of us ordered the meatloaf and one ordered the “Almost Famous Veggie Smashburger”. All three of us had to send our meatloaf back to be heated up since it was barely lukewarm. Once the meatloaf was reheated, it was very good. When the burger was delivered, I realized after taking a few bites that this was not the veggie burger but actually a beef burger. Since I am a vegetarian, I told the waitress about the error and she apologized and said that was her mistake. However, she never put another order in to correct the mistake. All things considered it was not the experience we expected.

Wow. This place was a dump! You walked in and could smell the bathroom. We sat near the marsh, which was the only good thing about our entire night. The women’s bathroom was flooded with water with no soap (and the entire two hours we were there no one seemed to bother cleaning it). Although our waiter was very friendly he was all over the place and we ran out of drinks often. And the lobster roll looked like mayonnaise with little bits of lobster. My mahi was over cooked and very chewy. We will never be back.
