Chef John LaPosta has had a long and exciting career path which has landed him in the restaurant of his dreams. Along with his partner, Tina Kruger, he has created a wonderful American Gastropub full of great energy, fine hospitality, and of course, outstanding food.

It is his passion for excellence, beaming hospitality and tireless work that have been the hallmarks of John's 30+ years as one of the Capital Region’s most popular chefs. He is known for his outstanding food that he serves to "real" people in a fun and unassuming style. His simple philosophy has always been "put the love on plate." In doing this, people feel comfortable when reading his menus and do not feel as if they need to be a chef themselves to understand it. For lunch: mediocre food. Pork dumplings were flavorless and the buns were overly yeasty. The squash in the squash salad was undercooked. The Buffalo Mac and cheese was OK but did not differentiate from the same item in pubs across the US. Atmosphere was standard industrial style, with an 80s pop soundtrack playing, but it was very drafty and chilly for an afternoon in February - not a winter spot if you are temperature-sensitive. The highlights of our meal were bloody maries, which were pleasant and well crafted. The cocktail menu looked fun - we may return and have a drink here in the summer, but we were unimpressed with the food.

Lovely restaurant with open kitchen. Most of our tables food was good, one person thought the chicken was a little under seasoned.

Innovo is always a great place to eat. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our waitress was polite and friendly. She helped us with the menu and food was delivered quickly. Great customer service.
