   We chose IronRock for a date night because we’ve been there multiple times in the past and enjoyed the food, service, & beautiful ambiance. This restaurant has declined a lot since we last visited. While we did choose to sit upstairs with the band playing, we did not realize how loud it was going to be. We could not hold a conversation during our meal because the band was so loud & we could not hear each other. There was one waiter for the entire upstairs floor which was filled. Slow to take our orders upon arrival (we had a reservation) and the food took almost an hour to come. The appetizer we ordered did not come until after the dinner finally arrived and the waiter remembered. The draft beer tasted “off”, perhaps stale. My husbands favorite menu item, a jalepeno burger, was sadly no longer on the menu. In fact the menu is smaller and yet prices are inflated. To top it off, the doors were opened to the outside patio during our meal on this chilly, dark, windy November evening. The food was good but not outstanding at all (and again, heavily overpriced). We couldn’t wait to leave and we will not be returning.

   We had a table of 7 adults and 4 kids ages 5-10. We weren't aware we couldn't split checks which would have been nice to know or maybe I missed that somewhere. We were there at 11:30am and it was not busy at all. Our server checked on our drinks maybe once and drinks were only water, coke, and lemonade. Finally at the end we could catch him for a refill but were getting our check. My muscles did not taste well like it has in the past and the shells broke into tiny pieces that were stuck in the muscles which has never happened before in all the years of eating them. My sister didn't like her breakfast meal. Everyone else did like their pizzas, pancakes, etc so that's good! I do appreciate the restaurant accommodating space for the birthday decorations and gifts at the end of the table. They also opened up the doors to the outdoor patio when they realized the kids wanted to go out there across from us. I still love this place! I just know how amazing the food can be and was disappointed in mine and would have liked better service on the drinks plus to be upfront about how they handle checks with a larger reservation because I also called in when scheduling.

   $5 for bread and butter. 2 pieces. 22 for an ahi tuna appetizer. Very disappointed.

   We ate downstairs and ordered full dinners. Service was good. Nice cocktail and draft beer choices. Food gets a C-.

   The only thing going for this place is the way it looks, poor dining experience. Pretty much an empty restaurant on a Friday night- now I can see why. Cold food when there are not many tables in the restaurant, how? After being in the restaurant industry myself for over a decade- the whole dining experience was just unacceptable. I ordered a glass of Rose’ and clearly was served something other than as it was not remotely the color of being a, Rose’. Then the waitress hands my husband $7 and says that it was for the bartenders mistake as the owners make the servers and or bartenders pay for their mistakes out of their own money! (talk about making us feel uncomfortable and how weird is that?!). I felt bad for the waitress as she apologized on behalf of the bartender and kitchen staff. Cold filet, cold mashed potatoes, tiny Chilean Sea Bass for over $50- don’t waste your time dining here as it was just an overall disappointment.

   Let’s start with I have worked in the restaurant industry and I refuse to send food back. My previous visit here I ordered a medium rare fillet, I received a well done fillet, it tasted fine however not how I like my meat prepared, I ate it and didn’t complain. That same visit my drink remained empty the entire time, even asking for another - didn’t complain figured they were busy and understaffed like everywhere. Last night, I was served an ice cold baked potato and salmon, the smaller edges of the salmon were slightly warm and the pecan crust did taste great, this time I did complain, they offered to give me another dish, which I refused so they did take this meal back and off the bill. Needless to say for the expense of this place and now 2 bad experiences back to back. We will not return, which is a shame this was my favorite local place but unfortunately has went downhill.
