   I hosted a work lunch here on Tuesday. I had made a reservation and when I arrived the front door was locked. They were to have opened an hour before and there were other customers in the parking lot waiting to get in as well. I called the restaurant, and they came and unlocked the door. There were some employees in the back but no customers. We had to ask our server two times for our drinks, and she never brought one of them. It took over an hour for our food to come out and one of the items didn't arrive until we were about to leave. The whole experience took two and a half hours, which is unacceptable for lunch time. Our server was very overwhelmed and inattentive, but here were only about 5 other tables during that time. Unfortunately, this is the third negative experience that I have had there, and at this point I do not plan to go back.

   The owner of this restaurant needs to take control. He needs to work with the staff and find a better manager. We had to wait over an hour for our lunches. The only good person there was our waitress and she was totally overwhelmed. Need to hire more people.

   The portions are small and everything is expensive. The staff is friendly. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. The dessert we had (this outing was for our birthday) were large pieces and I was grateful for that!

   It was ridiculously slow. Firstly, it was only 5 pm and only 15 people in the restaurant when we were seated with reservations. It took 32 minutes from the time we sat down to get initial drinks to the table (iced tea). Then, the order was taken, and another 30 for just beginning salad and soup to be delivered. To say the soup was warm would be a lie. Lastly, the main course was delivered a whopping 27 min later with half of our meals cold and some completely incorrectly ordered/made. Then our refill drink order was taken, and it was a forever wait for 2 drinks. An important side note is that we could see a few of our food items sitting under warmer for most of that time. I did speak to the night manager, who stated we could have free desserts, but she would not adjust the cost of any meals. She stated owners were not in the building, and there were new hires. When I returned to my seat, it took 35 more minutes for bill and to go desserts to be at table. All told a 5 pm reservation lasted until after 7 pm. For the price of the meal and status of the restaurant it was a great disappointment. We were not looking for free food, just a positive experience. An important side note, our waitress was pleasant and apologetic. Would not recommend.

   Iron Rock Tap House is just beautiful. The food was very good with an extensive menu. The service was a little slow but we were in no hurry. I will definitely go back and look forward to dining in their outdoor area which looks beautiful.

   Brunch was awful . Not worth the price. They refused to honor my OpenTable $10 reward to apply to my meal saying they only do Opentable reservation and do not accept any rewards. Deceptive and fault advertisement OpenTable reward offer. Don’t waste your time on.

   Everyone was kind, but we had to ask for a server after being seated for ten minutes. Drinks refilled only when asked for a refill. Ordered a western egg white omelet that was undercooked. Coffee was really good! This place is so beautiful, if they could just execute on their service and food we would come back, it’s been continually disappointing…. This will be our last time there…

   The crab bisque was more of a soup and the wedge salad had no chunks of bleu cheese. The chicken and sausage Cajun pasta was very good. Cocktails were good but on the pricey side.

   I had a bar reservation only to be told they were not serving food in the bar. Table was ready an hour after the reservation. The sea bass that I ordered came out on a plate of melted butter and cheesecake was frozen.

    New Years Eve, 7:30PM reservation. We arrived at 7:25 and were very understandably told they would seat us a soon as possible. Long story short, the Manager approached us at 8:10PM and apologized for the long delay. We were seated at 8:20 and enjoyed a delicious meal with great service and were offered a gift card for the inconvenience. This is how a first class restaurant should operate. The food was excellent and perfect temperature. The Maryland Crab dip is probably the best we’ve had. Cocktails were great. The scallops and shrimp were perfectly prepared. Great New years Eve experience. Well done Iron Rock Tap House.
