Ísafold Restaurant is a small and beautifully decorated restaurant located at Þingholtsstræti, a charming side street in the the heart of Reykjavík city center. At Ísafold, guests get a tentative and personal service as well as delicious food and fun drinks. We go to great lengths to make sure our ingredients are locally sourced and our suppliers are handpicked by our head chef that loves to prepare specially house made items from the local ingredients. Wherever possible we offer organic and socially responsible products. All our greens are sourced from local greenhouses and our meat is 100% Icelandic including the lamb which is semi wild, bread in the Icelandic highlands during the summer months.

Lovely restaurant. Quiet intimate atmosphere. Very pleasant efficient staff. Complements to the chef for a fabulous meal.

My husband and I had dinner at Isafold for our anniversary and had an amazing night! Our server was attentive but not overbearing, and it was quiet enough that we could talk and enjoy each other's company but it still had an awesome vibe. The menu was out of this world and was sourced with local ingredients and sources in mind. Definitely worth a shot!

Really excellent food in a lowkey atmosphere. Nice pace of service. Nothing is cheap in Iceland, but this was good value considering average costs.

While the meal and service were more than acceptable, unfortunately an adjacent table of four were overly loud and their discussions dominated the room. While this was not the restaurant's fault, it nevertheless impacted on our evening's enjoyment. Perhaps clustering tables for four or more separate from those for couples would be a worthwhile consideration.

The food was very nice. The service was lovely. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they gave her a free birthday brownie with ice-cream and strawberries.

La comida buenísima y el trato de las dos chicas que nos atendieron inmejorable. Hice una petición para el cumpleaños de mi marido, y todo genial. Un diez.

A friend and I had dinner here one night. It is downstairs below hotel. Pretty limited seating so reservations not bad idea. Nice quiet ambiance (at end of our meal we were only people in there). I had pork belly, excellent, and friend had lamb which he enjoyed very much. Pricing not bad considering Icelandic scale (tends to be speedy). Service was great. Would recommend.
