   First time the Ivy Bournemouth. Nice bright and buzzing interior. Pleasant and helpful staff. Food was ok. Not sure the pea puree in the scallop starter was supposed to be cold. I couldn’t taste the truffle, but the scallops were very good. My wife enjoyed the cheese soufflé. Lovely rib eye steak. Predictably over priced

   It started well, with a good welcome and very nice starters. Unfortunately, it went wrong with the mains. First they got one wrong. Decently took both away, but mine was not good and wrong information from our waiter meant it was not sorted. Complained and it all got fraught. It seems restaurants these days do not seem to be able to cope with problems and always want to blame the customer. Some redress eventually, but the original mistake and initial reaction, made it a far from a good evening.

   The greeting, the ambience , the meal was great., both the main and dessert. You feel transported to another era , it is a beautiful place. All the staff were friendly. Only disappointment was an extra drink was requested and not received. They were very busy and possibly additional staff required. We will definitely go back..

   Wow, we absolutely love the Ivy in the Lanes, wasn’t sure if the Bournemouth Ivy would be the same, it was. The staff were wonderful, very attentive and polite, couldn’t fault anything. Absolutely fantastic evening, thank you all. We will definitely be booking again on our next visit to Bournemouth.

   The bilini drink was poor, fairly tasteless and expensive. The starter was adequate. I was disappointed with the Shepherds pie as I was told how good it was. The portion sitting in the middle of the large bowl was incongruous and disappointing. I paid the bill and suddenly realised i had forgotten to use my birthday voucher. On telling the staff I was told it was too late to use it which was not good customer service. I would hesitate to use the restaurant again.

   The overall ambience in the Ivy Bournemouth was absolutely gorgeous the staff at the entrance were very warm & welcoming. The actual servers however took ages to check on our table, bring the bill or bring the meals. The food was a solid 3 stars, underwhelming, and just overall really slow service. But overall we had a fair experience.

   Welcoming staff, birthday girl was treated to good wishes and a cream confection with a candle! We enjoyed everything we had, and the staff were all excellent. Thank you, Bournemouth Ivy, for a memorable lunch!

   It was lovely to try the ivy at Bournemouth for the first time and it won’t be the last, can’t get passed the shepherds pie, which I have always had and really enjoy at the Oxford ivy, it is amazing and add a couple of glasses of red wine and a lovely plate of cheese and biscuits and you have great meal. The service is exceptional and really friendly. Have already booked for Easter.
