   What a wonderful experience over the Thanksgiving Day weekend. I took my son and my new daughter in law to the winery for lunch. We had an amazing meal and some of the best wine I've tasted in a long time. The service was excellent. We learned a lot about the wines and why the area is so well known for its grapes. Thank you! We will be back.

   Absolutely wonderful. Quiet and intimate with delicious wine and food. Fabulous setting

   Pizza crust really soggy, wasn’t good. The atmosphere was great. Woukd go again and order something different

   Great experience! Had a large group out for jazz night. Food was great, wine awesome, the ambience with the setting and the music was phenomenal!

   Great evening at J Bell Cellars & Charr Restaurant on Saturday, September 17th for Meg Rose and Ben Macy Trio Jazz event. Ambiance, food, hospitality, venue and wine were amazing. Highly recommend visiting this winery and restaurant in Zillah.

   We couldn’t wait to return after being here a year ago. We had to flag down severs to help us. We started outside but non of the heaters were on so we moved inside. The inside was filled with flies and knats. The service was very slow. Our artichoke dip was great and the steak and prawn player was Very good. The bathroom is dirty and filled with spider webs. We won’t be back which is sad because this place could be fabulous.

   The place is beautiful, and inviting! The service was very good. The only issue was it was end of season so some of the dinner items were not available. They were out of beer and the cider machine was broken. Will be back next year though!

   I have never written a review like this, and am disappointed that I am doing so for what was to have been a special event. We scheduled a special birthday dinner at JB Cellars and Char based on referral from a family member, the online reviews, and the online menu. Multiple family members drove several hours to attend a celebratory milestone birthday for a loved one-we spent the day together touring the area, and the JB Cellars dinner was to be a very special event for all of us ending the day on a really special note. We arrived and discovered a very limited menu, very slow service, and food that arrived lukewarm to cold. We initially saw our waitress, and then never saw her again. We waited an hour for two appetizers (which were cold and we could see sitting on the counter for 10-20 minutes), and one item we ordered never arrived. I think they were likely very understaffed, but we made the reservations the previous week, and would have appreciated honesty about the type of experience and offerings we would have, so that we could have pursued other options that would have been better for this special family occasion. We drove back into Yakima to try and find a spot to eat dinner late in evening. A group next to us left for the same reason. It was definitely not the experience we hoped to have at the end of a very fun day celebrating a loved one. The grounds are beautiful, and I can see that it would be an amazing place to eat/celebrate when staff and services and menu options are adequate, but unfortunately that wasn't our experience.

   We are deeply apologetic about the bad experience that you had with us recently. Unfortunately, we have been understaffed and that can take away from the experience we want to provide for our customers. While we have been dealing with these issues, there is no excuse for your experience. We would love to have you back sometime and give you the true J Bell experience that you so dearly deserve.     This is so hard to write because I'm a local who loves J Bell BUT we took out of town friends there who were excited to finally be there and it was beyond disappointing. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Appetizers were slow to arrive but excellent. Then our "experience" rapidly declined. Menu was only a third of the online menu. Disappointing but can live with that. One of our party ordered a salad and upon arrival was told all of the reason why is wasn't as described on menu. Really? About 40 minutes later the flatbread pizzas arrived and were uninspired. after over a 2 hour wait the chicken entree finally arrived and we told them to just box it was we were ready to leave. At one point earlier, one of our party took a stroll and looked into the kitchen and there was absolutely nothing going on relative to preparing our long over due meal. We received a lukewarm apology maybe from the chef and the rest of the wait staff had disappeared except to collect our payment. We kept apologizing to our friends who had waited since November for this opportunity. The wine was superb as we have come to expect. Sadly we felt neglected & ignored. So sorry to have to write this.
