J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

I brought my staff for a Christmas Party dinner. Food was exceptional. We had a wonderful time. Was so nice getting together outside the work place. This was our 2nd year choosing JGilberts for our location.

It's our family tradition to watch fireworks downtown and then enjoy our New Year's dinner at J Gilbert. It's on of our favorite restaurants in Omaha. The service and food was once again EXCEPTIONAL! Thank you for being a part of our family's memories!

We celebrated NYE with our best friends at J. Gilbert’s. We like to sit in the bar area. Our server Ethan was exceptional. The four of us had a great time. We all had the NYE Prix Fixe menu and all had the filet Oscar. The steaks are always good here and we like the option of switching out to a different side. While I like asparagus, I love their creamed corn so I always switch out. Our friends both had the carrot cake , my husband the 7 layer coconut cake (which they only have during the holidays) and I had the crème brûlée because it’s the best! This is the second NYE we have done early dinner reservations here and it’s going to be our new tradition.

We had an amazing Dinner. Ethan our server was amazing and enthusiastic, it made our dining experience smooth and interesting. We were there for a birthday dinner, they had gotten us a written birthday card and dessert which was really cute.

This is the second time that we have visited Jay Gilbert and again very good. They give you a lot of food and the value is exceptional, especially their Pre Fix menu. The only comment I would have that is negative is that this is the second time we had their desserts and they do not match up with the great taste of the main course . Overall really good, ambience and service!
