J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    J. Gilbert's is one of my favorite restaurants and we go often. With that being said, this was the worst experience we have had dining there. Our reservation was for the bar area, which we prefer, and it was about half full while we were dining. Our first round of drinks had one of them made wrong, our meals came out before our salads, sides were missing from the plates and had to be requested twice, we had to ask for steak knives from someone else's waitress, we had to send one of the steaks back to be cooked as requested and did not get a bag to put our containers of left overs in. All of these things never happen when we dine there, so I am speaking from experience with how this restaurant normally runs. The staff were all very nice and apologized several times. We hope this was a bad night and do plan to return.

    Everything was fantastic. My husband had the seafood platter and I had a ribeye with mushrooms and au gratin potatoes. It was all perfectly cooked and delicious. Our server, Ian, was a delight and we enjoyed the entire dinner.

    This is the second time we have been here. Both times the steaks have been undercooked. When you are playing this much for steak it should be cooked correctly. Last time I sent my “medium rare” dry aged NY strip back and it was “well done” when it returned. This time the filet mignon came out “raw/rare” being a 6oz steak i knew sending it back would be a greater mistake. Sides, Dessert, and drinks have always been fantastic

    We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Our server was attentive and we had excellent service. The atmosphere was energetic as we had a large table of people beside us celebrating their 2024 business goals; they were loud. Overall, food was absolutely delicious and service was top notch.

    This was our first time visiting J. Gilbert. Our food was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere upstairs was very nice and the service was outstanding. We will be going there again! This has now become one of my favorite restaurants!

    Two of the three steaks were undercooked but the server did give a $10 discount. Will still go back but it was disappointing.

    This was our first time to this restaurant. It was warmly decorated and noise level wasn't too bad as we were sitting at a table in the middle of the room. Food was excellent, drinks were excellent and the service was excellent. There was no pressure to move the meal along. We had a wonderful experience and we will be back!

    Very good dinner with my wife. Our server (Amyi) was very pleasant and easy to work with. I was surprised that my 12oz Kansas City strip was thin. The wife felt her asparagus could of been softer. Pricing is on the higher side but we knew that walking in. Dining there for a special occasion makes the cost more justified. This time was for a birthday.
