   Warning to anyone who happens to make a late dinner reservation; they make it very obvious they want you out asap and don't want to be there that late! Why advertise late hours and take dinner reservations at 9pm or later if those that do are made to feel rushed to finish and get out??? We weren't lingering at all but as soon as our entrees came they turn the lights way up to annoyingly bright and people are cleaning up all around you making it obvious they want you out. As for the food the dinner was just ok. Wine we ordered was spoiled and horrible especially at $20/glass. And the dessert? OMG the worst carrot cake I have ever had....just a lump of icing and some kind of frosting goop with a little actual cake around the edges. We're still trying to figure out what that purple colored goop was supposed to be??? They hold themselves out as a "fine dining" experience but they have a long ways to go and I've experienced finer dining at a Denny's than I did at this place!

   Atmosphere is great. Food is absolutely some of the best food I've had in a long time. Such a great addition to Omaha.

   I ordered a crab bisque soup with a Kansas City strip. I ordered the steak medium, and it came out cold and rare. Not even close to medium. Also, the crab biscuit soup was cold to the point where it wasn’t even room temperature. Presentation was decent and our server was excellent. very attentive

   Once again an amazing meal was had everything came out hot and tasting great. I chose this for my wife’s birthday dinner and she really enjoyed herself. We will return because we have yet to have a bad meal or service.

   Our experience at J. Gilbert's was phenomenal. The service was outstanding, and the food was out of this world good. We will be frequenting this restaurant from now on.

   Just not up to usual. We love the calamari but this visit it was way over done and was like chewing rubber bands. We asked for sweet potato fries got regular. Our server was great she apologized for the difficulties we experienced

   Great food but very noisy and so many workers bustling around for seemingly no reason, just a lot of extra people walking around constantly. Had a reservation at 7:00 and didn't get seated until 7:40.
