   Very enjoyable dining experience with beautiful views. Josh was our waiter. He greeted us and described to us about specials for the night. I had the "Pacific catch" which is a white slightly fatty Halibut type of fish pan seared served over a stew with heirloom beans which were soft and goes well with the dish. The dish was very tasty, has a tangy accompaniment that makes it very appetizing. We finished off dinner with apple parfait with granola crumbles served in a cute jar.

   It’s been years since I’ve been back to Oneal’s because the last time we went we were so unimpressed we forgot about it…that changed last nite! Boy are we glad we rolled the dice! For starters we had the Dungeness crab cakes. Mind you we are east coast crab cake snobs (nothing beats a Maryland Blue crab jumbo lump crab cake with no filler!)…but last night their is now an official 2nd best crab cake and it can be had at O’Neal’s!!! No filler and a wonderful panko crust with a perfect sauce and watercress greens accompaniment. We will be back just for that alone! But wait there is more!!! My wife had the short rib and loved it and I had the best scallops!!! 3 huge jumbo scallops cooked perfectly over a bed of black rice! The Rombauer Chard is a perfect pairing by the way…Most importantly….we’ll be going back~Great job Chef!!! Thank you

   Beautiful view while dining. Great service from our waitress Lyla. I loved the ceviche tostada salad. My husband steak was bit over salty. Very enjoyable lunch in all

   Such a great setting over looking the beach the server was super nice the food tasted excellent (incidentally our steaks were not cooked as ordered and crab cakes are getting smaller and smaller). I would also suggest if the bartender doesn’t know how to make a specific cocktail to say so and not wing it! $20 a cocktail is too expensive to not taste just right! Overall our experience was great considering it was a busy holiday night.

   Delicious and amazing. Jon took great care of us! Excellent recommendations - the scallops and the cheese plate were my favorite! Very cute Christmas decorations and live music which we enjoyed! Great spot for a business meal or a date night! And gorgeous views.

   The food has been excellent the last several visits. Very pleased to have a local restaurant with this quality food. Locally sourced is important. The ribeye was amazing! Grated horseradish! Yummy! Pleased that both the bar and main dining area were quiet on a Saturday night, especially this close to Xmas!

    The tacos were delicious, just the right amount of spicy. Both of my friends had an eggs Benedict dish and they were both amazing. Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, best view in Santa Cruz!!
