   Came here on NYE and place was busy. Despite having reservations at 7:45pm we didn’t get seated to our table til about 8:15pm. Service was good but food wasn’t good for the price. Ordered the clam chowder and it came out lukewarm and was not hot at all. Son order the surf and turf and steak was cold and rare. I ordered the seafood trio and sauce was bland and seafood overcooked and dry. We didn’t complain but didn’t finish our meal. I understand they were busy but it was the most disappointing meal that we had here in Kona and won’t be back.

   I made our reservation over a month ago. I do this every year as I know that New Years Eve gets crowded. It is my birthday and I know how it gets each year when we are out. Our reservation was at 7:15pm. We responded to all of the emails and text messages requesting confirmation of our reservation. We arrived and checked in at the hostess desk at 7pm. There was a long line already, but was confident that our wait would be short due to our confirmed reservation. By 7:40pm many larger parties and people showing up well after us were seated promptly. We tried to be patient, but we have now been sitting and waiting for 45 minutes. My husband went to check on how much longer our wait would be. We were told we were next. After another 5 minutese we were seated. Were only a table for 2. Despite the long wait and what seemed like an oversight of our 7:15pm reservation. Everything was as it always is, amazing!! Service at the table was impeccable. The food perfectly timed and delicious. Our server, whom we have had before, delivered amazing service. Your dinner and kitchen staff who assisted your server were excellent. Thank you again for a wonderful meal and table service. We enjoyed our NYE/Birthday dinner. Thank you again!!

   Hostess said there would be a 10 to 15 minute wait so we told her and she saw us head to the bar to wait instead of outside. I went back 15 to 20 minutes later and she said she had called us outside, but obviously we weren’t outside so she gave our table away!!!!!!

   Skip this restaurant on your next visit to the big island. Service is horrible, very limited menu, food was cold. For the prices one would expect top notch service and food. Very disappointing this trip.
