Welcome to Jack’s Lobster Shack Maine lobster is such a delicacy, it’s delicious, simple – the best seafood anywhere in many people’s view. And Maine lobster is the best of the best. It’s the first thing on peoples’ list when they visit Maine – eat a fresh Maine lobster.
But you can’t vacation in Maine every day – so we decided to bring it to you in Edgewater, New Jersey. Come visit and you can pick your own live lobster, let us prepare it or take it home and cook it yourself. And best of all we are BYOB (Beer and Wine only) !

The coffee was really acidic and the shrimp were pretty small which surprised me considering that its a seafood restaurant.

Celebrated my dad’s 76th birthday and the server, Mikayla (spelling may be wrong) was so absolutely amazing! The food was fantastic. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. We could not have asked for anything more.

I have been to this restaurant before and was happy with my meal. However, I was disappointed this time. I ordered the 11/2 lb lobster special. The lobster was small, not soft and tasteless. The corn on the cob was inedible.

Hi. First Thank you for coming back. Our lobsters are always weighed. As far as taste we really don't do anything to the lobster but steam it and give butter on the side, and the corn is a hit or miss in the winter. Hope you come back and your experience will be better. Jack

I had to have a lobster roll on New Year's Eve and knew there's no place better than Jack's Lobster Shack! We like to pop into the Ridgewood location, but my husband wanted something cooked, which you can't get in Ridgewood, so we drove down to Edgewater and had a delicious end-of-the-decade lunch. Love the friendly service and the food is so fresh and delicious!! Highly recommend this casual spot!

Not a pleasant dining experience for an empty restaurant night with a screaming toddler running around the place and employees talking to each other from across the room Service was good and friendly. Portions were smaller than their other sister restaurant.

My husband and I have been to Jack's Lobster house many times. We've brought several friends and family with us and they always want to go back. We are never disappointed. Food and service are always great!

For no fuss lobster---Jack's fits the bill. I had the warm lobster roll and it was very good---as was the Key Lime Pie. It's fairly easy on the wallet too!
