We were a party of seven celebrating a job promotion. I had been to Jackson's Landing once before for dinner and enjoyed it. This time we were there for Sunday brunch. Entered right at opening at 10:30. Food orders were taken around 10:50. Coffee orders were taken a few minutes after we sat down. From time we entered the restaurant to receiving our food it was about 55 minutes. The restaurant was not busy. Two of our orders came almost cold. Servers replaced the orders fairly quickly, but one of them did not come as ordered i.e. asked for benedict eggs firm, not runny. Servers were very understanding and did not charge for those two orders. Much appreciated and they did the right thing. One person ended up just taking takeout food. My eggs benedict order was supposed to have fruit with it or so I thought, but it wasn't included. They did have a small plate of fruit for my granddaughter who is a toddler so maybe that's where it went. Not a big deal to me. I had enough food. The other food orders were fine. The waffle with chicken was especially good. Prices here are very reasonable. So bottom line I believe the servers did what they could to make things right but maybe there were issues in the kitchen? Our server was very apologetic. Despite the problems this time around I would probably still go back, maybe for dinner. I think we may have just caught them on a bad day. Sometimes things just happen.

Not the experience we’re used to. We were let down by the waiting time for our mains, as well as the quality.

Food was very slow to come out. We were a group of 6 people but it took over an hour for our meals to come out. Our server also didn’t check in on us throughout the wait or top up our waters and only came around to check on us when the food came out. When the food did come out, the scallop risotto only had 2 small scallops and the fish in the tacos were doughy and mushy, not flaky and crunchy.

First time at Jacksons Landing. 2 couples for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Food was very good. Presentation very good. Overall an excellent experience. Service was perfect. Definitely would recommend. Will return.

This is one of our favourite restaurants. We live in Brantford and we go to the Theatre in Toronto a couple times a year. After our shows we like to stop into Jackson’s Landing for a delicious meal and good ambiance. Service is always top notch. Until next time!
