Despite its Michelin star, some guests express disappointment with the "service" and "ambience," especially noise and rushed seating. We were celebrating a belated Mother’s Day dinner but although the restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived we were seated at the back which had a draft coming from the conservatory area that’s open plan. We asked if we can move to the middle of the restaurant but was told it will be even colder there and that they will put the heating up. After the starters we were still cold and so checked again to see if the heating was put on and the waiter assured us it was. When the waiter asked if we wanted desert we said we couldn’t as we were too cold and he proceeded to say he would put the heating up, which hadn’t clearly made a difference for the duration of the starters or the mains and so we refused his kind offer! The food was tasty but far too rich for me and for the price I would have expected better service. The waitress shouldn’t be bringing the dishes of the main before clearing the starter dishes and expecting us to make space ourselves to accommodate the new dishes. Was recommend by a friend to go here and must say I’m sum what disappointed.

Food was excellent. Portions were good. Service was good. My primary criticism is the noise level. Crowd chatter was loud but amplified by an inexplicable music system putting out loud music that was heard over the crowd noise rather than softly behind it. Together they made conversation almost impossible and the entire experience less enjoyable than the excellent food deserved.

Beautiful space, good food though pricey. Service not as attentive as would expect at a restaurant of this calibre.

Disappointing and underwhelming. How they still have a Michelin star is very puzzling. There are remains of imaginative cooking in some appetizers and a few main dishes. However, most of the entries are priced for 20-30 pounds for a reason and it is indeed fair. Not bad for an average place but was below the expectations. The most disappointing service, let alone for a place that positions itself as upscale. The server had to be asked for and looked around throughout the course of the meal. She'd walk by ignoring our table many times. It took 40 min to place the food order. She just wasn't coming around to take it. We asked for water service at least 6 times. For missing silverware twice. For the bill 3 times. Half of the tables are in the basement where they pump a loud techno thump thump music - really ??? in an Indian restaurant. And with a couple of larger parties around it was hard to hear people across the table. Save your time - there are plenty of other great Indian restaurants in London.

Absolutely delicious food, fantastic service, the atmosphere in the restaurant was great, the music was slightly not to our taste but not too loud so not obtrusive. Best octopus I have ever eaten!

Food was very nice. Service was utterly dreadful. If you’re looking for a fine dining Indian restaurant, go elsewhere!
