   I had high expectations for Jamavar, given its Michelin star status, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The food was, at best, average – lacking the wow factor one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The service, sadly, was below par. Staff appeared inattentive, and the overall atmosphere was chaotic, with the restaurant being excessively noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal or hold a conversation. To top it off, the cloakroom lost my gloves. What was most disappointing was the staff’s indifferent attitude toward resolving the issue – no sense of urgency or accountability. For a restaurant with such acclaim, I expected a refined and seamless experience, but this visit was far from that. There are better options in London for both food and service at this price point.

   What a fabulous experience I had at Jamavar. The food was incredible but the service was even better. I chose the 3 course tasting menu: the first course was prawns in the best sauce of incredibly diverse flavors. The second course was cod Tikka - I couldn’t get enough of the sauce! The final course was also prawns but I don’t know what style because I actually ordered the buttered chicken; but I was super-happy with the selection and never even mentioned to the staff because I loved it - totally different dish than the first. I will not only recommend Jamavar to others but I definitely look forward to coming back in the future.

   Disappointing and Overrated: My Birthday Dinner at Jamavar I went to Jamavar for what was supposed to be a memorable birthday dinner, but instead, I left with a sour taste and a lost opportunity to celebrate. The atmosphere was nothing short of chaotic. A loud, drunken Christmas party group dominated the space, completely ruining the dining experience for everyone else. It was clear that the management had no grip on the situation, allowing the evening to descend into a cacophony rather than the refined dining experience one would expect. The question that lingered in my mind was - how did Jamavar earn its Michelin star? The food was disappointingly basic, lacking in both flavor and freshness. The dishes were presented with little creativity or care, far from what you'd expect from a Michelin-starred establishment. Everything felt rudimentary, almost as if effort had been forsaken for the sake of reputation. Service was equally underwhelming, resembling more a casual diner than a fine dining venue. There was no attention to detail, no sense of the occasion, just a routine run-through of what should have been a special night. I will not be returning to Jamavar. Don't be swayed by the glossy celebrity endorsements on Instagram. My experience was a stark reminder that sometimes, what glitters on social media does not translate to reality. Jamavar's Michelin star? Highly questionable.

   Very disappointing dinner. I used to love this restaurant but little or no atmosphere and very ordinary food which was sadly no better than any other Indian restaurant. Smallest lamb shank I have ever seen and vastly expensive. Sadly not the quality, atmosphere or food that it used to deliver

   I went to the restaurant to meet a friend after 5 years, and we were constantly interrupted by different waiters/waitresses every MINUTE as soon as we sat down asking about if we are ready to place order. We kept saying we need a few minutes and we will let them know when we were ready, but the waiters kept on coming and it became annoying and nagging. Food came out pretty quick which was good, although the taste of the mains wasn't great. The presentation of the food also was not good. Definitely not worth the price! Our table was cleared within seconds as soon as I put my spoon down and we were asked to leave quickly due to another booking. The entire experience was very rushed, which I honestly hated and we left after sitting for only 1h 45mins. I would have given everything a 1 star however I've given 2 since the food came out quick and the taste was ok-ish but ive definitely had better. I don't see myself going here again as the experience was very rushed and the food is not worth the price.

   Overall the food was good but not exceptional. Flavours are definitely adapted to the British palette so the curries weren't exactly spicy enough to my liking. The small plates were of good portions and we particularly enjoyed the aloo tikki. Kulcha was fantastic and the pistachio milk cake was so rich and nutty.

   We went to celebrate our anniversary. We went early but the restuarant was kind enough to accomodate us early than our booking time. Service was remarkable too. Food was delicious though we did feel vegetarian options could have been bit more. We had overall lovely experience.

   Really poor service and we waited for our drinks to arrive after the food which is very weird since it should be the first thing to arrive. It’s diet coke come on? The food was okay but the service was really bad.

    Food was good but I was expecting more from such a prestigious restaurant. Food presentation was lacking, the bathrooms need to be cleaned, and there should be more attention to detail on customer service. I took my husband there for his birthday and put it on my notes in the booking. Clearly no-one checked the booking notes. Most restaurants do something a little special for birthdays. It was a nice restaurant but I was definitely expecting more on all fronts. Maybe my expectations were too high but in my opinion for this price range, presentation and attention to detail should have been better. Our waiter was very nice.
