When dining in our restaurant you will experience a warm and tranquil atmosphere with friendly and professional staff. Our luxurious dining area has the right ambience for any occasion from birthday’s to wedding’s or simply a night out for fantastic food accompanied by first class service.

For a hearty breakfast, lunch or evening meal we can accommodate, or if you just feel like a rich Italian coffee by our roaring fire while reading from our extensive collections of literature we would be just as pleased to have your company.

*When booking, please note that Standard Tables are located in our restaurant, High Top refers to tall tables in the bar area, Bar includes standard-height tables and booths in the bar, and Outdoor seating is in our beer garden.

Had a really lovely meal, my son is autistic and struggles with his food touching the staff were amazing at making sure his food didn’t touch, meaning he ate everything and we all had a lovely meal

Excellent food for Sue and I. Linguine superb prawns and the Shepherds Pie was excellent. Relaxed, comfortable with excellent service from all the staff. Highly recommened. We'll be back soon.................Thank you.

So disappointed tonight. I booked online as usual for the restaurant 5 days prior for our table of 4 in the restaurant to be told that we would be seated in the bar!. We have booked many times online exactly the same and never had any problems . The bar was noisy, the table unclean with music being set up so not a great evening for a meal with friends. Jd is our place to go to and have never had a bad experience. So so disappointing that we left without eating and had to rebook elsewhere. If we had only booked with hardly any notice might have accepted it but we booked Tuesday with plenty of notice. Sadly will now think twice about re booking. Staff not helpful or interested.

Great place to eat and have a drink, relaxed atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. We had an issue this evening but it was dealt with quickly and efficiently hence we had still give 5 stars. Definitely recommend.

Great sausage and mash - veg and gravy were super. Jam rolly poly with custard - retro and still great!
