JIbek Jolu prides itself on bringing an authentic Central Asian experience to The Glen and surrounding north shore area. By combining central Asian and eastern European cuisine, our menu offers a large variety of cuisine, with delightful dishes and drinks prepared by the best chefs and barmen in the area. The interior of the restaurant is a sight to see, unlike anything you have seen before. We hired the best interior designers, leather, glass, wood, bronze, and felt craftsmen in Kyrgyzstan to assemble a modern design with a nomadic spirit. All the pieces of this ensemble are handmade and brought all the way from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Italy. We hope to see you for large parties, family events, and intimate date nights!

This is our second visit to Jibek Jolu, the first was for a double date night in the summer which I would highly recommend with the summer outdoor seating. Overall great atmosphere , food was delicious , we ordered a group platter which was enough food for 4 adults and our 4 small children . The hostess was very friendly and gave the kids lots of coloring pages and crayons to keep them busy while we waited for the food. While we saw other groups with small kids I won’t call this a kid friendly place, rather a date night place, too pricey for our lunch get together considering there was no kids or lunch menu, food takes 30+ mins to come which made the kids a bit inpatient. I would recommend this place for a date night or adults only groups.

What a fabulous find in Glenview. Drove from Chicago to see a a French film only playing in Glenview Lucky us The stroganoff with its delectable riced potatoes under tender beef The Vareniki were so elevated from simple fare And racing we had no time for the wonderful list of desserts. The tea we enjoyed was a blend with added honey mint and lemon Amazing flavors throughout Will definitely visit again !

Jibek Jolu in Glenview offers a unique culinary experience with its vibrant mix of Central Asian flavors and inviting ambiance. The meal started with the Jibek Jolu salad, a delightful combination of sweet and sour notes that refreshed the palate. The grilled shrimp was a light, flavorful start, cooked to perfection and showcasing freshness in every bite.

The food was delicious! Very nice presentation! The eggplant was so good! Service was excellent! Especially a very busy night! New Year's night! We will be back!

Jibek Jolu has quickly become our favorite restaurant, and I never imagined a Central Asian restaurant would win us over so completely. My kids and I absolutely love this place!The service is fantastic. The hostesses are always welcoming, ensuring we get the best seating available, and the waiters are incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They take the time to explain the ingredients, describe how dishes are prepared, and accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions with care. Food arrives quickly—within minutes—and everything we’ve tried has been outstanding. I think we’ve sampled nearly the entire menu at this point and haven’t found a single dish we didn’t love. Our top favorites are the eggplant salad, meat skewers, and the flavorful manti. This place is a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough!

Ate here with friends and family. It’s new at this location and not very busy yet. My husband and I really enjoyed the food in northern Greece and Anatolia when we visited there last spring. This is described as central Asian food on their website and the meat stews on the menu were similar to dishes we had in those regions. There were a lot of menu choices including stroganoff and perogies. Large tables are good for groups. I would definitely go back. We went to a movie after and the location is convenient with lots of parking nearby.

We very much enjoyed all of the food items. Like most all restaurants the chefs tend to modify dishes to their experience. The Beef Stroganoff was very tasty but not the traditional dish. But the fried eggplant was delicious and just what you would expect. So one person's pate' is another person chopped liver. LOL
