JIbek Jolu prides itself on bringing an authentic Central Asian experience to The Glen and surrounding north shore area. By combining central Asian and eastern European cuisine, our menu offers a large variety of cuisine, with delightful dishes and drinks prepared by the best chefs and barmen in the area. The interior of the restaurant is a sight to see, unlike anything you have seen before. We hired the best interior designers, leather, glass, wood, bronze, and felt craftsmen in Kyrgyzstan to assemble a modern design with a nomadic spirit. All the pieces of this ensemble are handmade and brought all the way from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Italy. We hope to see you for large parties, family events, and intimate date nights!

Beautiful space but very busy with several large parties. Waiter unfortunately seemed to have started today as he had a lot of trouble with the menu and entering orders on his portable device. He tried but just was too nervous and distracted by the technology. Bourst soup was very good. Mantees were tasty. Vegetables were steamed to death. Maybe it was an off night. Will try again.

Tried to book at their new location in Des Plaines, but they had a private party, so we decided to try the one in Glenview. So glad we did! Decor is super cool. Food was amazing! My daughter and I love trying food from different cultures and this did not disappoint! Can’t wait to try their new location in Des Plaines!

A lovely restaurant with good food but horrendous service. Our server did not have basic knowledge of the menu and could not explain any of the dishes. She knew nothing about the drink menu. She disappeared for long periods of time and we had to flag other servers down to ask them to find her. One of our guests was interested in dessert but we gave up because our server was MIA. Basically, she ruined our evening.

This was my third visit to the restaurant. The meal selection is interesting and unique. The quality of the food is excellent. Every dish I have tried has been tasty with large portions. The Eastern European selection of dishes is very exciting. The restaurant caters to many Eastern Europeans who seem to appreciate the experience for cozy couples or large celebrations.
