   Jimmy Kelly's is THE iconic Nashville Steakhouse. After living here for 25 years, we decided to finally give it a try. We were not disappointed. Our server was attentive (Tierreny) and our meals were wonderful. My wife had the filet and I tried the ribeye. Both were outstanding, as was the butternut squash ravioli. We went on a Monday night - it was quiet and intimate and a perfect date night spot. It's not a cheap date night, mind you, but you get exactly what you pay for - an experience. I'll be thinking about that steak a long, long time.

   Dinner with friends was great. Food choices allowed each of us to find just the right choice for each of us. Portions were generous enough to bring home another meal. The room we dined in was crowded and led to some awkward moments on our conversation.

   Been to this restaurant many times in the past 15 years. Well, let’s just say, things have changed over the years and not for the better. Everything has changed since the acquisition by the new ownership team. Let’s start with lack of communication. Ordered two appetizers for our table. Scallops and fried shrimp. Somehow we got a shrimp cocktail instead. My wife ordered her main meal off of the appetizer menu but told them to bring it with everyone else’s meal. Well, her food was at the table 20 minutes before all other meals. My son’s wife ordered a NY Strip and was brought a burger???? The other four meals were delivered and we waited almost 20-25 minutes to get her steak. Somehow, it came out raw? It was sent back and just removed from the order. It wasn’t our waiter’s fault; however, he was the conduit that was always apologizing. Robert did his best. Many changes to the menu and now everything is ala cart for sides. Salad and baked potato are a thing of the past. I have several gift cards I bought last November that may never be used now.

   I got a filet and they butterfly it and still overcooked it… the amount of money that we paid the food should have been better! I’m not sure that I found value for what I received.

   The filet was tender and cooked to perfection I ordered the brussel sprouts. They were very good but we did not need dessert after eating them. They were very sweet. The prime rib special was an exceptional value and plenty left for another meal. Isaac was very kind, attentive, and took a lot of pride in providing exceptional service.

   As always this is our place to go and celebrate special occasions. We have had several birthday parties there and this is the 14th year that we’ve celebrated our anniversary there. Carter Coffee was our waiter and has been for several years. He goes above what we except. He’s a great asset to JK’s. The new chef is stirring things up. Add new items to the menu. We can’t say enough about Jimmy Kelleys

    Filet is my usual go to steak, but the NY strip with the chimichuri sauce is just too good for words so I had to get that. We had the onion rings which are hot & tasty, the bone marrow & bacon wrapped scallops for appetizers, split a wedge salad, and had the NY strip, the cowboy ribeye, and a filet for main courses. The creamed corn & creamed spinach pair very well with all the steaks. A bottle of the Coppola Director's Cut Cab just topped off a great meal. The best part of our meal was that we were seated in Marcus' section, and he took fabulous care of us.
