We offer a 4 course menu designed by Chef /owner Susan Dunlop, which includes distinctive American cuisine . We offer only the finest ingredients, sourced locally when possible. Maître d'/owner Joan Schmitt (and Highland Park native) offers first-class hospitality. Our carefully selected wine, beer and signature cocktail list will also appeal to all tastes. joan's is a must try, if you enjoy great food and amazing hospitality in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

                                            There was great variety, with lots of creativity with dishes. The portions were perfect and just enough. The service was seamless and just enough help to be great but not too intrusive. The noise level was low to medium, but no shouting to your friends. All in all it was great and I would return.

                                            This was our 2nd visit to Joan's in the Park. Food was amazing and delicious and beautifully presented. Service was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. We were celebrating my birthday - everyone on staff (not just our server) wished me a happy birthday. We've decided this needs to be a place we visit more often. Can't wait for our next visit.

                                            This was our first time at Joan's. Everything about our experience was fantastic! The service was prompt, friendly, and educational. The owner and Chef were interactive with the guests. Both of us agreed that this was the best tasting menu that we have ever experienced. We have eaten at many fine dining restaurants from Alinea on down and truly do feel this was the greatest. The presentation was gorgeous, the wine pairings were spot on, and the lemon dessert brought tears to my wife as it reminded her of her grandmother's recipe. Our anniversary is in 2 weeks. As soon as we got home, we canceled the reservation we had and booked to celebrate at Joan's in the Park! Thank you, ladies, for the grand experience!

                                            This was without a doubt the most special, elegant meal I’ve ever had. We’ve traveled around the world, but our dinner at Joan’s in the Park was memorable beyond any other meal we’ve had. The portions were perfect, the presentation exquisite, and the service unobtrusive yet excellent.
