Joe Fortes has been specializing in classic, American cuisine since 1985. The turn-of-the-century inspired dining room features 30-foot high ceilings and six unique dining venues that include our Rooftop Garden. Director of Culinary, Wayne Sych, and Executive Chef, Ryan Green, prepare each dish with a focus on natural flavours and features the finest ingredients from Pacific Northwest farmers, fishermen, and other food artisans. Serving more than 30 kinds of fresh fish, premium oysters and thick chops daily, Joe’s signature dishes have become a favourite with locals, celebrities & tourists alike. Joe’s is known as the best oyster bar in Vancouver and is home to some of North America's best oyster shuckers. Our award winning wine list features over 200 selections from prominent wine regions throughout the world.           Everything was excellent except the noise level being seated in the wine room it was very noisy with so many sounds coming from all areas could not hear my husband who is not quiet when the server asked a question when I heard it I had to repeat a few times so husband could answer so not much conversation could be had. Which is why ambiance got a low mark. And of course I had to have dessert so we got it to go to enjoy back at hotel where it’s a little quieter. Thank you for a wonderful dinner though and a excellent server!

          Foodnwas amazing as always. Our waiter Nohal (not sure if I spelled it right), was excellent from start to finish. Very professional and pleato deal with. Looking forward to our next visit !

          My wife and I enjoyed it fantastic meal at Joe’s. The seafood dinner was beautiful, the service was very good and the menu options were plentiful. The noise level was high but expected with a full restaurant. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

          Server was attentive. The food was OK, definitely overpriced. It is very noisy and limited space. it seems like more tables are forced in to get more clients into a limited space
