Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Table of 6. Every meal was overcooked. Think they lost our order as it took close to an hour to get our food after we ordered. Table larger than ours that was seated and ordered after us received their food before us. At at another seafood place the next day less than a mile away (Pinchers) and it was the complete opposite and very pleasant. Avoid this Joes Crabshack.

Got there ahead of our reservation. Hostess sat us at a 2 top near a large group who was pretty loud. Waited about 10 mins. No server. Went back up to hostess stand. Told them we’re just going to sit at the bar. Bar staff was attentive and friendly. Food was decent, nothing spectacular. The view of the water and sunset was great.

Food was great. Wait staff attentive. This was my second visit in less than a week. Both times the wait time to get our food was really really really long. On my first visit it was about 3:30pm and the restaurant was not busy at all. This current visit it was a Friday night at 6:30pm and it was moderately busy. Both times I substituted items. The first meal was served with the wrong potatoes and the second meal was served with the wrong vegetable. This was not a deal breaker as they made it right in a fairly short time frame. I will be going back. The view on the water and the quality of the food makes it worth the wait......be sure to order a caesar salad. It was really good and you won't starve waiting for the main entree.

this was our first time at the crab shack. We were so happy when we saw our table. The entire space is surrounded by beautiful windows. You can see the water the sunset the boats it was truly lovely. The food was excellent. The staff were perfect we enjoyed everything Thank you☺️ so much!! Well Done!’

I was excited for the crab but whatever sauce they soak it in before serving it is not good. They ask you what kind of sauce you want but anything you choose ends up having some kind of curry aspect to it. It’s not normal crab which was disappointing. They also ask you how spices you want it…. When I said mild, it was still very spicy when it came out with the strange curry sauce. What happened to normal steamed crab with butter. People just want normal crab and butter. I was very disappointed in the food. Service was fantastic though!

I would not recommend Joes Crab Shack in Fort Meyers. The place was not clean, tables left uncleared. Service was very poor, food was decent, the are a crab leg restaurant and had no crackers clean to crack the crab legs. Overall very disappointing experience we will not go back.
