Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

Decent but not great. The place was loud as hell, making conversation difficult. Food was good, but nondescript. Service was lacking a bit — had to keep calling for help to bring obvious things like silverware setups, condiments, etc. Overall, pretty average. I wouldn't refuse to go there again, but I wouldn't be seeking it out either.

Very informal atmosphere and comfortable. Katie our server very good. Food quality also very good. LIMITED wine/beer list, but overall very good experience. NOT inexpensive.

The crab was really good and you get a lot for the price. You can share a bag and add extra items to it. The appetizer wasn’t good. The calamari was good the rest of the appetizer wasn’t freshly cooked. The server was excellent and really fun!! I think her name was Sarah. She made the birthday celebration fun and wrote funny names on the bibs!

I really wanted to love this place. The staff were very pleasant but not readily available. The food wasn’t great either to be honest. We ordered the calamari, and it wasn’t seasoned well and fairly bland. The garlic bread also left little to be desired as well, with not much flavor either. I ordered the Mahi, Mahi and it came out pretty dry and chewy and the rice served with it was extremely sticky. The server was very sweet about it and did have it replaced for me, but by then my entire family had already eaten. For the price of food these days I’m willing to pay for good food, but I’m not willing to pay full price for mediocre food. Sorry Joe. This one was a 1.5 star for me this time around.

The food was terrible. Seriously we had to drink in order to get it down. Service was okay, but half the food was brought out 20 minutes after the first entrees were brought out. The atmosphere was great so I think they rely on that and the fact they’re on the harbor to get business. Go to Temecula. Or pretty much anywhere not along the water and you actually get yummy food.

Food was great, service was extremely slow. French fries ordered for children were the last to be served.

The service and food was great but the stuffed flounder was a bit fishy. However, the manager came out and went way above the call of duty to make it right. The peach bourbon glazed salmon was awesome. I would rate them at a 5 over all

Our server Ruben, was amazing and made out wonderful meal even more enjoyable. It was a lot of fun. We celebrated my husband's birthday too. What a great meal. Thank you.
