As someone who has spent their entire adult life in Boston, I have never had a negative experience at this restaurant. I can't say that I eat here frequently, But I have eaten here many times in the last 25+ years. Rafael was our server and could not have been better. He was very attentive, extremely friendly and gave excellent advice on the menu. The cocktails are always good, the French onion soup was fantastic and my Caesar salad with perfectly cooked steak tips was to die for. Yeah, Joe's is as solid as it gets.

We were there on a Saturday before Xmas and so the restaurant, like Newbury St more generally, was very busy. We got a great table by the window out front, which gave a pleasing view into the street. The food was good, and served promptly once we put in our order. The restaurant was quite noisy, so not the best choice for an intimate tete-a-tete, but it did give it a lively holiday atmosphere. The servers were very busy but pleasant and responsive. My water glass was repeatedly refilled and they didn’t rush us out after we had eaten, despite the obvious demand for the table

Came down for thanksgiving from Toronto and had dinner at Joes on both the 28th and the 30th. Amazing vibes, super friendly service and the pumpkin cheesecake was next level. Can’t wait to return !!!!

Our server, Ty, was amazing! So attentive, but not intrusive. He spaced our meal perfectly so we never felt rushed and had time to enjoy each course. The meal itself was incredibly plentiful (we both took half our Thanksgiving plate home) and delicious! We were so glad we chose Joe’s for our holiday celebration!
