If you are new to the Galleria, be aware that there is no parking except Valet. Alternatively, you can park at the Blue garage and find your way up to the restaurant. I chose this spot because it looked upscale and I was hoping for a business conversation. However, even on a Tuesday, it was packed like a Friday night. Despite having a reservation, we waited 20 minutes for a table. I would rate the service a 5/10, though this seemed to be a management issue rather than the server's fault. The server-to-table ratio appeared high, and our waiter was covering tables in different sections, causing delays. We even received our starters without plates and couldn't eat for 5 minutes until I walked up to ask for them—an awkward moment when you are hosting a client. The positives: The food was excellent, specifically the Crab Dip and Korean Cauliflower. I wouldn't choose this place for a quiet meeting, but for an office gathering or happy hour, it could be a good pick.

I come here often and service is usually really good. This time not the best . I sat at bar this time and bartender rarely checked on us, she seemed like she didn’t want to be there would have hoped for better service. Good is always good so that never disappoints

I had an amazing experience! I sat in the lounge area and was taken care of by Amy, Chloe, and Abby. The experience was 2nd to none, the ambiance was warm, and was enhanced by how much the staff genuinely cared for my well being, I was checked on frequently and was suggested amazing food and drinks. Nothing lacked in my opinion. The entire experience from the people, the food, and the feel was all 10/10.

We absolutely loved our experience we went for our anniversary and we tried four appetizers. Our favorite was the pita chips and hummus, and then we got the steak frites. The food was marvelous. The service was great and quick. My reservation was at 4:30 and the table was ready when we got there. Amy and Chloe were spectacular and they checked in on us every couple of minutes to see if loved our food and experience.

Love the vibe of Joeys. It's a beautiful restaurant in a great location. The food we ordered was delicious but the service wasn't great. We ordered an appetizer and drinks which were brought in a decent amount of time but when our entrees came, of our party of 5 only four got their dishes. The server didn't even acknowledge one was missing. Eventually a "head" waitress came to ask how everything was and we indicated the missing plate. She said "oh it's coming". When it finally arrived the rest of us were well into our meal. After dinner we were never asked if we'd like dessert or a coffee. And not once did anyone say anything about the last late dish. For the price of the meal - kind of disappointing

FAQs

Yes, JOEY Uptown is a popular date-night spot. Guests frequently mention the elegant, moody ambiance, complimentary sparkling wine on arrival, and thoughtful service that makes special occasions feel elevated. The menu (steaks, lobster spaghetti, sushi cones, and shareable starters) and polished cocktails support a romantic, dressed-up evening. For a quieter table, try a weekday dinner or an early seating on weekends and mention if you’re celebrating so the team can add a special touch.

Portions are typical for an upscale American restaurant, mains are plated as full entrees and shareable starters are sized for passing around the table. Guests often enjoy sharing the spicy crab dip, hummus, or Steak & Ravioli Bianco as a table course, while steaks, lobster spaghetti and mains are satisfying as entrees. A few guests noted portions felt smaller on some visits relative to price, so ordering an appetizer to share is a reliable approach.

Yes, JOEY Uptown serves a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. Guests regularly mention craft cocktails (Smoke Old Fashioned, Passion Fruit Lemon Drop), an on-arrival glass of sparkling wine, and an extensive wine list. The restaurant also runs a happy hour with discounted drinks, making it a good spot for cocktails or a celebratory drink.

Several dishes come up repeatedly: the Steak & Ravioli Bianco, Lobster Spaghetti, blackened (Cajun) chicken, sushi cones and the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake are guest favorites. Reviewers also praise the hummus, truffle fries, and the Joey ribeye. If you want a classic JOEY experience, try a shareable starter and one of the signature steak or pasta mains.

JOEY Uptown is open daily with late hours: Monday–Thursday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM, and Friday–Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM. Happy Hour runs Monday–Friday from 3:00 PM–6:00 PM. If you plan a late dinner or special event, consider reserving in advance.

Yes, guests of all ages dine here and the restaurant accommodates celebrations and family gatherings. The large, open dining room and temperature-controlled patio make it flexible for groups, and staff frequently help with seating requests. If you need accessible seating or specific accommodations for mobility or special needs, it’s best to call ahead so the team can reserve an appropriate table.

For a lively atmosphere and full service, go on a Friday or Saturday evening; for a quieter meal, try weekday lunch or early week dinners. Happy hour (Mon–Fri, 3–6 PM) is popular for discounted drinks and small plates but can still be busy. If you want a more relaxed table for conversation, midweek evenings or lunch service are your best bet.

The vibe is modern, upscale and energetic, described as elegant, moody and lively. The interior features stylized prints and LED art, greenery, and low lighting that fits date nights and celebrations. It can get lively and a bit loud on weekend nights, while patio and weekday lunches feel calmer. Guests consistently praise the ‘dressed-up’ atmosphere and polished service.

The dress code is smart casual. Guests often arrive dressed up for date nights and special occasions, so smart casual attire is appropriate if you want to match the venue’s upscale yet relaxed vibe.

Yes, the menu includes vegetarian and plant-forward options (Spaghetti Pomodoro (V), Crispy Tofu Bowl, Baja Cauliflower Tacos, salads) and several dishes that can be adjusted for dietary needs. While specific gluten-free labels aren’t shown on the menu, protein-focused mains and salads are often gluten-friendly. If you have strict allergies or dietary restrictions, call ahead so the kitchen can confirm safe options.

Yes, many guests report the team honoring requests like “date night” notes, birthday surprises, seating preferences, and dietary restrictions. JOEY Uptown often brings complimentary touches (sparkling wine, dessert, special messages) for celebrations. For accessibility needs, large groups or private-party arrangements, call ahead to confirm details so staff can prepare and ensure the best table.

Families do dine here and the restaurant regularly hosts birthdays and family celebrations, so it can be family-friendly. The menu focuses on steaks, seafood and shareable plates rather than a dedicated kids’ menu, so for younger children an early seating or patio table may be more comfortable. If you’re bringing small children, call ahead to discuss seating and menu flexibility.

Busiest: Friday and Saturday evenings (late-night crowd) and popular weekend times, guests often describe lively, bustling nights. Quietest: weekday lunches and early-week dinners tend to be calmer and better for conversations. Happy hour draws a crowd too, especially for discounted drinks and small plates, but it’s generally less packed than prime weekend dinner service.

It depends on your goal: choose Friday or Saturday if you want a lively, trendy night out; choose midweek (Tuesday–Thursday) or weekday lunch for a quieter, more relaxed meal. If you’re after drink deals or a casual cocktail hour, attend happy hour Mon–Fri (3–6 PM).
