   Food was quite good. Lobster biscuit a nice chunk of lobster in it, but the broth was a little blah. Two people had prime rib and that really didn’t seem like it was prime, a little chewy. Farroe Island salmon special was great. We will be back.

   It was my second time eating at Johnny D’s . We had great food and a lot of fun both times. The service was fantastic and the live piano entertainment was…well…entertaining.

   Lovely restaurant, it’s gorgeous and I love the open kitchen. Food was fantastic, service was great, and drinks were delicious! Will be back again!

   Everthing was perfect from our server to meeting and talking with the owner Chris. We were treated like family . Also if you like live music the piano music is fantastic.

   Johnny D’s has big shoes to fill. This version of E.B.’s is significantly better than the Morton’s mess. They have some interesting cocktails. The gin with botanicals and basil was amazing as was the daiquiri. The Lobster Bisque needs a little work, less smoky and more sherry. Oysters were so fresh you could still smell them the salt water. The French Dip was a huge sandwich, tender beef with loads of flavor and a fresh baguette. The shrimp and grips were fantastic. The grits were perfect - creamy and full of flavor with the NOLA butter. They need to serve it with a couple pieces of their delicious bread. The crepe dessert was delicious. Service was good. Food was well timed and piping hot. The menu has a lot of choices. It’s not all beef and more beef. Nice selections! Looking forward to returning soon.

   Dinner was excellent. The bartender Liz was also our server. What a great personality she has!! It was a very enjoyable evening.

    For a party of 10. The lobster bisque was disgusting. It was basically Campbells tomato soup with a cream swirl and a lobster chunk of meat in the middle of the bowl. The soup was not even hot. It was lukewarm. The steaks were overdone for every attendee except for one. Nine overdone steaks. The server disappeared time and time again. Even though you may order a $70 + steak, you have no choice on your sides. You’re going to get cold mashed potatoes and overcooked broccolini. Worst $1,000 plus steak house experience ever. My clients think it’s funny, I don’t.
