JoJo propose une cuisine décontractée mais élégante sur les deux étages d'un d'un édifice pittoresque du tournant du siècle dans l'Upper East Side. Il est le premier des restaurants de Jean-Georges à New York, un bijou du quartier ouvert en 1991, qui depuis a reçu des critiques dithyrambiques. Il a été élu meilleur nouveau restaurant de l'année par le magazine Esquire et a conservé son statut de trois étoiles du New York Times pendant 21 ans. En ce qui concerne le nom, JoJo était le surnom du chef Jean-Georges quand il était jeune garçon. Jojo offre un cadre accueillant pour un souper décontracté, une occasion spéciale, ou une fête privée. Les clients peuvent se sentir à l'aise en jeans ou en tenue de soirée.     The carrot cake is absolutely a must! Service was impeccable and the vibe is perfect for a cozy date night or grabbing wine with friends

    Great food, great service, disappointing desert: prunes bread pudding w Armanac displayed ONE prune, NO Armanac. The pastry chef took no responsibility and stiffly defended her product. Message received: JoJo discourages a customer‘s opinion

    The waitress was excellent. Food was excellent. Too noisy on first floor. Next time I would request second floor seating.

    This was the second time we dined at JoJo. Our first experience was very good, but this second time we were a bit disappointed. We were a party of 3, one of us a vegetarian, and wanted to try the Restaurant Week menu, which had no option for a vegetarian entrée. (I had messaged JoJo beforehand on the app to ask about this, and didn’t see their reply on time.) After being seated, we asked the server, and he said it wasn’t possible to change anything from the RW menu, and that it was either the whole party ordering the menu, or we would have to each order à la carte. We ended up doing that, and the food was good (the trompetti were a little dry, though). However, we couldn’t help but feel quite disappointed at the lack of flexibility. I later saw that I had received an answer to my earlier message saying that they could in fact substitute for a vegetarian entrée, so evidently there was a miscommunication problem on their side. In any case, I’d hesitate to recommend JoJo to anyone with a dietary restriction or preference because this kind of thing can ruin your dining experience.

    Came to celebrate my birthday, honestly not worth the hype. Food is average, for the price that you pay I’d go somewhere else.

    The service is friendly but not obtrusive. Everyone is working in a tight space but manages with ease. The food was excellent. Every choice was perfect. We went for the Restaurant Week offer. It was perfect. Generous portion size, accommodating selections and excellence in taste. Will go back for regular menu.

    It was a great experience at JoJo. They consistently have exemplary service and quality meals. A good find for a pleasant meal in the city.

    As always it was a very good experience It seems to me the restaurant has a new owner and refurbish completely the whole space Very nice I really recommend
