   Waited over an hour for food days hog sausages they are not they are supermarket chipolatas I just can't figure out which one wasn't told at the time of ordering it would be an hour wait chipolatas NOT sausages were over cooked and hard peas were under cooked and hard madh was nice if I hadn't waited an hour I would not have eaten any of it 2 meals were taken off the bill but do they should be over priced over and under cooked fo not recommend at all unless you want to be ripped off wish we had gone to the Bakers like we did the week before your paying for location only 🤮

   We love the location, and views-but the food took a long time to come out from ordering, almost an hour. The lady that served us was lovely and we could see that they seemed understaffed, but it has unfortunately put us off returning on a weekend. There were still tables free so it’s not like the restaurant was fully booked. Food was nice though and reasonably priced.

   Warm and friendly welcome. Proper pub with a proper roast dinner. Lovely views over the harbour. We will be back.

   Have always had good service and food here, today was not one of them unfortunately. I reserved a table by the window, there was no acknowledgement of that on arrival. Drinks were slow; when asked if we were ready to order, this was very rushed and abrupt with no smile, starter came with main course (which we were asked about and my son said yes to) but food took ages to come, and was warm, not really hot, it just didn't have the 'wow' factor like previous visits. One dessert of ice-cream was ordered which took about 30 mins to arrive, at just before 3pm. We arrived at 1pm. There was only one waitress that stood out today, with a smile, and she's the one who brought the bill. I did mention to her that the service wasn't at it's best today, (with her being an exception). Hopefully it was just a blip today, and next time will be good again.

   Restaurant very clean and inviting nestled in the back waters of Portsmouth Harbour. Well worth a visit not only for the food

   First visit, will defo call again. Food took a little time but that was because it was freshly cooked. Large portions and also had a pudding so now can barely move 😀. The young man behind the bar was very friendly, helpful and efficient.

    Really wanted to be able to give a good review - unfortunately our experience was very average. Despite not being overly busy we waited 45 mins for food ( with a 3 year old). When the food arrived it was incomplete - no baked beans and burger bun inedible due to being burnt The ‘dressed’ salad was literally a wedge of cos lettuce with bacon bits. The main meals were adequate but had obviously been sitting waiting for service as they were warm not hot. We didn’t stay for dessert and could not wait for authorisation of a refund for the child’s meal. What a shame , great venue but eating experience very below par. We will not return.
