Well we had a reservation for 7:30 and we left 2 and a half hours later having only had appetizers and water. Our food was taking forever to come out, all the wait staff was running around looking dazed and confused talking about its only their second day being open & the kitchen was backed up. We never even got our alcoholic drinks 2 hours after ordering them, so I just assumed the bar was in the kitchen as well. Additionally, the host was rude from the jump and came rushing up to us after we had been standing there for a few mins telling us to “just stand to the side” with a whole attitude. Also she was running food which is insane. Pro tip for management: A host should be at the front at all times. I think they may need to close this location down and train their staff & kitchen to handle a regular night. It was even busy for Saturday standards. But if you actually would like to go to a restaurant and receive the food and drinks you ordered in less than 3 hours I would go somewhere else.

It was the Grand opening night on Valentine’s Day. Understandably the service was a little slow, our server, Dominic, kept checking on us and keeping us informed. Which we appreciated. Te food was absolutely delicious, one of best beef short ribs I’ve ever eaten. The jerk turkey were also delicious. We will be back. Maybe in the future can add a few gluten free options

Arrived at 5:45 for a 5:30 reservation and was promptly seat. Great decor and ambiance. Was told by waitress that due to a back up in kitchen we could not order until 6:30. No problem. We order drinks, but waited 25 minutes to get them. At 6:55 we asked to order and was told we had to wait 20 more minutes. I patronize Black-Owned and was fine with a longer wait due to it being the night of the grand opening. However, after observing guests seated 30 minutes after we arrived being served shots, appetizers and full meals, we decided to leave without eating. After all that, an 18% mandatory gratuity was still charged on the drinks. We may try again for lunch, hoping a little runtime makes the difference and wanting the best for this business.

My husband and I came to the grand opening to kick off Valentine’s Day. I reserved a table and reviewed the menu ahead of time. The food looked amazing and concept was interesting. It is a Soul and Caribbean fusion upscale restaurant. We arrived at 5:37pm and were seated promptly. Our waitress came right away. First I noticed the lack of Valentine’s Day decor. Which was not something required but would have been nice . We ordered drinks and were told the bar was a little behind by the waitress. We appreciated her honesty. We ordered our drinks and the pot roast empanadas. The drinks took 15 mins which wasn’t too bad. The empanadas came shortly after. Before we got the appetizer we ordered our entrees. The waitress told us the kitchen was behind 30 mins. We understood and still ordered. We waited 70mins and finally had to decide to leave. We saw table after table of customers leaving due to the wait. We felt so bad for the wait staff. They were losing customers left and right due to poor planning by the owners. It ruined the start to Valentines Day and we didn’t even eat. We were still charged for the appetizer and drinks , which was fine by us. It would have been great for a manager come and apologize for the delay. We will not be back.
