Had a great time with 10 coworkers to ring in the Lunar New Year. The food was great, and Bicky's planning and attention to detail were impeccable. Would recommend to anyone looking to eat authentic Cantonese / Hong Kong cuisine on the West Side.

First let me say that I have been dining at this restaurant and the former location for years! But something has drastically changed…for the worst I must say! The Peking Duck which used to be the best in town was almost inedible! It arrived at the table wafting of a deep fried grease smell…instead of freshly roasted duck! It tasted old and refrigerated as though it sat for weeks and then thrown in the deep fryer to reconstitute it! We also had the Szechuan Chili dumplings that tasted like an old wooden cupboard….UNBELIEVABLE! The choice of wine was pathetic…although their wine collection was never great it has devolved even further! Needless to say I’ll never be back…I miss what was!

Joss is our favorite Chinese restaurant. We have been going there for years. Last night we ordered chicken and spinach dumplings, vegetable spring rolls, wonton soup, Hong Kong Chicken, and pineapple rice. Everything is delicious. A shout out to Walter who is always so gracious and gives us great service.

This was our first time there though others in our party had been and recommended it. Gorgeous setting/ambience, delicious Peking duck, a specialty of theirs. We were quite impressed.

Disappointing Holiday Experience Our Christmas Day dinner fell short of expectations, particularly given the special occasion. While we understand the challenges of managing a full house during the holidays, several issues impacted our experience significantly. The first concern arose with seating - we were placed in what appeared to be a prep area, which immediately set an uncomfortable tone. The rushed atmosphere from the staff transferred to our dining experience, making what should have been a relaxing holiday meal feel hurried from start to finish. We ordered their signature Peking duck, which was adequately prepared but missed a crucial element of the traditional experience - the tableside carving. Additionally, the service flow had notable issues: we received insufficient pancakes for the duck portion, and the 10+ minute wait for additional pancakes meant our food cooled considerably. The duck sauce was also not great. The food quality itself wasn't the primary issue; rather, it was the overall dining experience that left us disappointed. For a holiday meal, where ambiance and service are as important as the food itself, the rushed service and makeshift seating arrangements significantly detracted from our celebration. Positive: Duck was properly prepared Areas for improvement: - Seating arrangements during peak times - Pancake portioning for duck orders - Service pacing and attention to detail - Holiday dinner atmosphere

This is an surprising and amazing outpost of excellent Chinese cuisine in a large region of LA that specializes in mediocre Chinese fare. We started with Peking Duck Quoe Tehr and Sesame Tofu Cubes. Sesame Tofu cubes were very good (A-), while the Quoe Tehr had a truly unexpected and wonderful flavor balance of rich Peking Duck, sauce and covering (A). For our main course, we had Hometown Braised Tofu and Snowbass on Black Sauce. Although I have had many Chinese meals in large cities in China, I have never had a meal in a smaller town there. The Hometown Braised Tofu tasted so wonderfully "country" that I could almost feel myself eating it in a small village. Tofu perfectly braised with a mixture of mushrooms, bamboo shoots and bok choy (A). The Snowbass was both an artistic and taste "piece de resistance". Perfectly cooked very white fish, on a bed of perfectly balanced complex black sauce. (A+). The best dish I have had anywhere in a restaurant in a long time! Service was prompt and attentive. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Inexplicably, the small restaurant was empty except for us on a week night. If you like sophisticated delicious Chinese food at a very reasonable price, you should put this on your list.
