Juku Izakaya is the center of Juku’s tri-level concept. Occupying the 36-seat ground level dining room, Juku offers a menu of contemporary interpretations of traditional Japanese Izakaya, which changes seasonally and focuses on both small and large plates. Juku has an independent sushi menu which is prepared by the Omakase team. This menu includes exclusive offerings of the best of what Chef Kazuo Yoshida has to offer. Diners can also enjoy the 6-seat dining bar which serves a full menu and focuses on New York based mixologist Tim Cooper’s cocktail program. After dining, Izakaya guests are welcome in Juku’s subterranean cocktail bar, Straylight. Straylight is designed as an immersive installation by acclaimed New York based artists Justin Lowe and Jonah Freeman and serves an independent cocktail program designed by London based mixologist, Jamie Jones. The food was good. Very high quality fish and interesting preparations. The service was excellent. Because of the way the room is set up it can get quite loud.

Service was amazing, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Waitress was very knowledgable. Food was beyond reproach.

Food was amazing, fresh and delicious. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Pricey but well worth it for a special evening. Loved the atmosphere and the downstairs cocktail bar

Found on Open Table and had an amazing dining experience. The quality and authenticity of the food was what I have enjoyed in Japan. Our server was very knowledgeable and had wonderful recommendations. We’re not local to NYC, but I hope to return.

I went with a friend and we made a reservation last minute because I live close in soho. This might be my new favorite place. Very friendly staff and we loved the food. Definitely will go back.

everything was good. the wait staff was very knowledgeable. however, there was a server who did not put their hair back. in other words, their loose hair fell into the water pitcher as well as grazing some of our plates as this person leaned over to refill water as well as explain the menu - the water pitcher was held next to their cascading hair.

Food was phenomenal and top-notch for itzakaya, which sometimes are more focused around alcohol. Service was amazing as well.
