   Excellent food and service. Most of us had the fresh catch fish special which was great, but expensive at $50 (price not mentioned by the server). Anyway, we will definitely come back.

   An excellent experience. I am grateful to open table for getting a 7:15 reservation for 6 at 6pm on a Thursday night. Pretty good service!

   We dined with food allergies and the chef came out and spent at least 10 minutes speaking with us and Our daughter. He was so delightful and we connected over a shared home town. Our waiter was exceptional and we booked a reservation for tomorrow night as a result. Can’t wait for more delicious food and excellent service tomorrow night

   This place and Service are the best. The ribeye is unreal. I have not had a bad meal there service is amazing.

   Disappointed that they are discontinuing scallops from the menu. Only fish option was salmon and the snapper special (and a seafood linguini). You could add a small lobster tail to any dinner, but did not offer a lobster tail dinner. Probably one of the best sunset views! Biggest disappointment: they are CASHLESS!! We wanted to pay our bill with cash and they wouldn’t accept it. Is that even legal?? To not accept U.S. currency as payment?? I’m sorry, but this policy will probably keep us from going back.

   We were really excited for our meal here as staff at the resort really built it up. I was told they would be great with gluten free modifications that would be necessary with our party when I called ahead to inquire. Booked a time so we could watch the sunset while we dined. Immediately knew it was going to fall short of the high end dining experience we were expecting based on prices as soon as we sat down. The water glasses and silverware filthy and covered in water spots. Waitress was very put off when asked about gluten free suggestions, offering very limited options - steak and pork chops. In all honesty neither option appealed to me as I was looking for something lighter like seafood. My pork chop had a very spicy rub that didn’t appeal to me. Sides were underwhelming. My Daughter ordered steak medium rare as she always does and steak was very under cooked. Seared on the outside, uncooked and cold in the middle. They offered a new one and the second steak came out exactly the same. Raw. $54 plate and she was only able to eat the sides. At this point we are deflated, tired and honestly still hungry. We are foodies from NY. We know good food and love dining out. The waitress did ask if I wanted to speak with a manager but I refused as I was exhausted and just asked for the bill. The waitress then proceeds to somehow drop my credit card on the way to process it, returning to the table to ask if I provided one in the bill fold. It was found under another table. Yup. It was a very disappointing and expensive evening considering we ended up ordering room service.

   We made reservations for 6pm with sunset at 6:20. Fortunately, we were seated directly in front of the huge picture windows facing the Gulf of America and got to see a lovely sunset. Tony, our waiter, was very knowledgable and attentive and had some great recommendations for food. Two of the staff recommended the pork chop. We tried it and it did not disappoint! It was delicious. Kudos to the JWB staff and chefs. Highly recommend.

   They were out of our favorite sea scallops. The salmon was undercooked.

    We went to JWB on Valentines which may have been our mistake. When we made reservations there was nothing mentioned or posted about any special changes. As we were seated they explained “here is our prix fixe menu, there are no substitutions allowed.” The funny part was it was nearly identical standard menu with regular prices per dish, not prix fixe, and the items removed were unfortunately the items we wanted to try the most. We ordered the charcuterie to start and the menu said it was served with crackers. When it came out it had no crackers. We asked and they brought the thickest, hardest crostinis I have had at a restaurant. The charcuterie was very underwhelming with what appeared to be cold cuts and sliced cheese cut diagonal. There were a few decent cheeses. No mustard, honey, jam, crackers, that you would typically see. We had to select our main dishes carefully as no substitutions were allowed, and when they arrived they then informed was they were out of some items and substituted sides. The disappointment here was because we would have selected different entrees and enjoyed them much more with the sides they changed. The service was very slow and other diners were also annoyed with the speed of service. By time our drinks and appetizer came out there were only 5 tables seated in the restaurant. We did have one of their last reservations and didn’t expect perfection but for the price we definitely had much higher hopes. I always leave honest reviews and will say we will give them another chance on a regular day to see how the experience differs, before writing them off.
