A family friendly, modern Greek restaurant. Catering to dietaries, large bookings or private functions, as well as takeaway options. It is so natural for the Greeks to be drawn to hospitality roles that there is even a word with deep historical significance to describe it. ‘philoxenia’ ~ translating to ‘friend of a stranger’ (philos: friend and xenia: stranger). It is accepted as synonymous with hospitality, a willingness to share hospitality generously, and is even suggested to be part of the Greek DNA. When you dine at KALA you are no longer a stranger. Best Greek food! The restaurant is gorgeous, beautiful outdoor area, great vibe. The food is the best Greek food I have had in Australia!

Very good food, nice outdoor setting. The wow factor was the enthusiasm and friendly attitude of the staff. So refreshing to see staff having fun and enjoying their workplace.

Lovely food, great atmosphere, relaxed vibe. Often a long wait for food, and hard to get hold of staff for drinks (or extra water).

We had a great dinner here, we ordered the meat platter for 2 and there was plenty of delicious meat and chips as well tzatziki, all was great!

I had booked a table for 4 for my birthday. We arrived first & were seated near the front of house. Most people were sitting outside as it was a beautiful warm evening. Not so many inside. The waitress quickly fixed us up with drinks & then the other couple arrived. We ordered shared starters & an individual main meal accompanied with salad & potatoes. Everything was beautiful cooked & presented. We couldn't find space for a sweet. My only complaint was I found the music abit too loud for conversation.

We enjoyed our Kala experience. They were busy but everything was easy. Food was great and serves were generous. We are keen to try the Chefs menu next time. Kala is a great addition to Ocean Grove restaurant scene.
