Kamp Houston Review – 2/09/25 Visit Kamp Houston has a great atmosphere and top-tier service, but unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t match the hype. The ambience was lively and well-designed, making it a good spot for social gatherings. The service was also on point—attentive, friendly, and efficient. However, the food and drinks were a letdown. The dishes lacked the depth of flavor and attention to detail that should come with the high price tag. The drink selection was underwhelming, and overall, the experience didn’t bring the excitement or joy I expected. To top it off, the pricing felt excessive. A forced $20+ parking fee and an automatic 20% service charge made the meal even more expensive. While I don’t mind paying for quality, the value just wasn’t there. If you’re looking for great vibes and good service, Kamp delivers. But if food, drinks, and overall value matter most, it may not be worth the cost.

I have to start by admitting I dislike giving poor reviews. However, in this instance, it is necessary. I booked reservations for my birthday at 02:00pm 2 months in advance. The next month, I was contacted to confirm said reservations for 2pm; and did just that. I was coming in from Florida. This was my first time in the city and wanted to enjoy my biryhday at this restaurant. Unfortunately, a change in business hours took place sometime between the time we confirmed our 2pm reservation and the day of the confirmed reservation (12/19_2024). We were outside and the cook who saw us, greated us at told us that the new service hours were now changed to opening at 4pm instead. We received no notice of such change and was baffled by the lack of communication. While taking photos and waiting for our Lyft, someone, I am assuming was a manager, came up with a stern attitude and advised us to go around the corner to the sister restaurant instead. I duly think that is was an awful experience, considering. Please do better with keeping your patrons abreast with changes that can alter thier reservation. Communication is key.

Our waitress Brooke was amazing. The food was good and the atmosphere was great, but the service was even better.

Didn’t even use the booking site. Parking was terrible and expensive. Will not be back!

Loved everything about this outing. Flew in for my birthday weekend. From the airport to here and was not disappointed. Even with the drizzles. We set under the covered part. Will definitely be back. Maybe at night when it’s more club vibe.

Food came out fast but VERY COLD! Remake was better! $80 Tower mimosa came out warm so we had to constantly ask for ice!!
