   I was really hoping to love this restaurant. It was nearly impossible to make a reservation, and I gladly took the only available spot. When we arrived, the restaurant was half-empty at 7:30 p.m. [It was already dark, so for those willing to pay $$$$ for the view, it’s pitch black at this hour]. We waited at our table for over 20 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge us. Not what you’d expect at this caliber restaurant. The waiter was really nice, but I am not sure why at these prices (e.g., $97 for a 7.0 oz fillet mignon) they were short-staffed. They also ran out of bread by the time we started placing our order. The food was good though nothing special w relatively small portions. If the sunset / ocean view is what you’re after, this is a great spot or … try lava lava right down the street.

   Gorgeous location especially at sunset. We had a fixed menu with NYE that was nice. They were out of crab but somehow were able to make crab cakes as an item - not sure how that magic works but whatever. Surf and turf was filet and some small scallops. Pricey.

   We made reservations for New Years Eve back in August to make sure we would have a reservation. Looking at my confirmation email at that time and confirmation texts before arriving there was no mention of a Prix-Fixe menu being in place for the evening. If we had known that we would most likely would have changed our night we dined there to another evening. In the future when confirming reservations on Prix-Fixe nights they should let the diners know in advance. Prix-Fixe menu was $200 per person and included 1 glass of Champane per person. I chose the Goat Cheese Chopped Salad as my starter and the waiter came back and said they were out of the Goat Cheese and would I accept the salad without it, really had no choice as the other options were not appealing. I had the Loster Duo which was lobster and a risotto. Risotto was on the cold side when it arrived and I felt the lobster a little on the small side for the price. My wife had the 5 oz filet and 2 scallops, both were good but again for the price on the small side. Only 2 dessert choices, we both went with Tuxedo Truffle, basically a moose cake. It was ok but for a high end dinner I felt it was not to the level it should have been. In addition, they seemed to run out of champagne glasses as we were served our champagne in wine glasses, unacceptable at this caliper of restaurant. Overall, for a $520 dinner (we each had another drink which added to the total) I was not impressed.

   We had an amazing anniversary dinner with a spectacular view. Just gorgeous . The food was awesome and we loved our waitress!

   大晦日にニューイヤーイヴ料理を いただきました。前菜、メイン デザートのそれぞれチョイス制で 英語メニューなので選ぶのに ちょっと苦労しましたが どれも美味しかったです。 オープンテラスで海の音に 沈む夕日の最高のシチュエーション でした。お値段は高い目ですが 雰囲気込みで納得でした。

   Took over twenty minutes to have server take our drink order…finally we asked a busboy to get a waiter and she quickly arrived and she was great.
