Beginning with a small shop of just 9 seats in Dotonbori, Osaka in 1986, our founder simply wanted to make everyone happy with his soup. From there, we expanded throughout Japan. Now, this is our first upscale Surf + Dine concept with a full service bar right in the heart of Waikiki. Our trademark dish is Oishii Ramen, literally meaning Delicious Ramen. Our soup is highly original while also inspiring nostalgia. It is light in colour but rich in flavor and brings a taste that’s both new to you yet familiar. We also feature other items including sushi, donburi, Japanese small plates, ribs, and Hawaiian local favorites. We host a full service bar that offers local flavor inspired craft cocktails, mocktails, and a large selection of wines, sakes, shochus, beer, tequila, whiskey and much more. Enjoy dining in our light and airy modern inspired dining room with over 130 seats or book one of our private rooms perfect for special occasions or business dinners.

Most things were out of stock on the menu. I asked a question on the reservation about customizable options but didn’t get a response. We ended up with only one option to order and nothing was customizable as stated on the menu.

Service was awful. Our server never gave us water and when I asked for it, she only brought 2 for a table of 4. The appetizers came after we received our dinner. She brought us the wrong dish, asking us if we ordered it, and remembered it was for another table. When we were done, we had to find another server to bring us boxes and the check.

Food was mid. Gyoza was falling apart. It did not wrap together well. It was a good idea making handmade gyozas. They were big but, didn’t taste good and was falling apart. I think that the store bought frozen tastes better than here. Ramen was also mid. Just doesn’t taste authentic. It’s edible. Ordered Mai tai, terrible. Roy’s Mai tais was so much better. Karage and salad was the best dish we had here.

Amazing ramen with great dashi. Gyoza is a must! Other menu looked great too we will definitely coming back!

Our experience was bad. We had 2 or 3 servers which made no sense considering they were not busy at all. It created confusion among them. We ordered apps and also ramen. ALL of our food came at once and there was no room at our tiny 2 seater table. So the server asked us to move the tables together….what?! Okaaaaay we did it but that was tacky. Now our ramen is getting cold because we wanted to eat the apps/raw fish first. That annoyed me. It felt rushed and gluttonous to have all that food. The ramen was okay, nothing special in my opinion. We regretted dining here, wasting our previous Hawaii time, at such a unspecial place. I’d never return

Server Erika provided great service. What could be better is improve the delivery time of the food. The appetizers and main dishes came at the same time.

We sat down for 45 minutes and was only served a beer flight. No one ever came back to take our food order
